Alma's finest restaurant

Jennifer and Steve are great hosts. The dinners are made from the freshest, best local ingredients. The restaurant is a cozy neat place with a home-town feel. The service is second-to-none. Grandma's Pot Roast served with carrots and mashed potatoes is highly recommended, as is their strawberry... read more

Grandma's Pot Roast served with carrots and mashed potatoes is highly recommended, as is their strawberry shortcake made from fresh, just-picked strawberries and made without extra sugar. This is... Our group really enjoyed our experience. There were enough of us that we tried almost everything on the menu. The kale salad was wonderful, chicken added, which was moist and tender. The pasta dish was perfectly prepared with a nice balance of sauce and noodles. The Reuben Burger was fantastic! The fish was perfectly prepared, tender and not too dry,... More

Tansy's on Main did a wonderful job catering a lunch for my son's baptism. From the start, Jennifer, was very professional - responded to my inquiry quickly, offered choices in our price range, and was very easy to communicate with. The food arrived on time and every loved it! I am very pleased with how fresh the food was and... More

We were very impressed by the simplicity and excellence of Tansy's on Main. Pasta Sophia (freshly made pasta with oil and herbs) with perfectly sauteed chicken was an impressive and outstanding dish. (My dining companion's Buddha Bowl was a bit boring--but, to be fair, her request for no dressing tied the chef's hands.) Chocolate zucchini cake was rich, moist, and... More

Tansy's was great! Loved the Pesto Pasta. They were very willing to answer questions and customize your meal if needed.

On our road trip along The Great River Road we made a stop in the quaint little town of Alma. Walking down the street trying to decide on lunch we came across this small quaint bistro. Eclectic décor with mismatched tables and chair. The waitress was very outgoing, friendly and helpful. The minestrone soup was a pure delight; not what... More

I really wanted to like Tansey's - I loved the premise of locally grown, primarily organic foods, but my lunch experience there just didn't deliver. My husband and I both ordered iced tea to drink. The iced tea dispensers were cool, but it tasted more like iced weeds than anything else. Both of our lunch selections were just OK...nothing I'd... More
