I really wanted to like Tansey's - I loved the premise of locally grown, primarily organic foods, but my lunch experience there just didn't deliver. My husband and I both ordered iced tea to drink. The iced tea dispensers were cool, but it tasted more like iced weeds than anything else. Both of our lunch selections were just OK...nothing I'd... More

Driving through Alma, a nondescript town, we saw a little restaurant that caught our eye for some reason. The menu was on the front door and appeared to be the menu of a fashionable restaurant. My wife and I both had veggie burgers that were the best that we have ever eaten. Grass fed beef burgers were also available. Jennifer,... More

Tansy's on Main in Alma is a class act. Three of us had lunch there a few weeks ago and we were very pleased with our meal. The vegetarian burger was out of this world and they shared the recipe with me so that I can try it at home. It was served on a delicious homemade bun with a... More

We checked out some other places on our drive along 35, but decided on Tansy's for a late lunch and glad we did! We had the Reuben and a burger and blue cheese coleslaw (yum!). The food was great and locally source. It was fun visiting with the owners. We'll be back on our next visit!

It is not easy eating on the road when you need to be gluten free. On a girls day out, we happened across Tansy's. Score! They were knowledgeable and had a wide variety of options for me. The food was excellent (pot roast, with new red potatoes, and fresh green beans...delicious!). Best of all, there were three desserts (two cheesecakes... More

Staying as we did at the Tritsch House in Alma, constant companion and I were treated to lovely breakfasts at the B&B but left to our own devices for other meals. Luckily we stayed over a weekend and thus had the opportunity to dine not once, but three times at Tansy's On Main. (http://www.tansysonmain.com) This tiny yet adequately appointed little... More

The food was family-friendly with choices for all ages. The ingredients chosen to make the menu were seasonal and fresh. We were lucky to taste the rhubarb cake and homemade cream. YUM!

What a treat this place is. Alma is a tiny town and the food offerings in the evening are few. When we saw that Tansy's had dinner until 9:00 pm, we decided to give it a try. I'm sure glad we did. We ordered the Reuben (corned beer made in house) and split it. It was an ample sandwich with... More

Went to Tansy's during Alma's Holiday Shopping event. It was a good thing it was a limited menu that day for the special event, because who would be able to decide what to have off their menu! I had the reuben and cheesy potato soup. Both were so good we wanted to have seconds! We topped off our meal with... More

I am a regular at Tansy's on Main. From the time, this restaurant opened in May of 2013, I have a whole new appreciation for fresh ingredients and "scratch" recipes. Nothing is a secret in this restaurant, Jennifer and Steve don't mind sharing the recipes and where the food comes from. They are not afraid to try lots of new... More
