We are a small restaurant offering a variety of homemade foods you will not get elsewhere! We make our own breads, buns and pastas. Soups are homemade daily. We source locally and our menu changes with the farm crops. Check out our website, and make a day trip to Alma for a dining experience you will remember!

CHOCOLATE TORTE TO DIE FOR, gluten-free friendly :)

Had a fantastic meal of beef pot roast and flourless chocolate torte (both gluten free, yay!) I was very excited to try Tansey's. My fiance and I had planned a romantic getaway weekend in Alma and this restaurant was top-rated in the area. Tansey's had a cute, quaint, cafe feel. The food was... read more

This wonderful restaurant uses local produce and supplies to create their wonderful dishes. The pot roast was amazing, very delicious. The mashed potatoes underneath were seasoned and complimented the pot roast very well. The glazed vegetables were a succulent addition to the meal. The chocolate rum zucchini cake was absolutely delicious!

Usually being the only game in town is not a good thing, but with Tansy's, you hit the jackpot! This was the only eatery aside from the pizza place that was open for business on a summer Saturday night. So, Alma does not have a lot of options for restaurants. But who needs options when they have Tansy's? The service... More

Scrumptious lunch....pan fried tilapia with trademark house fries (hand cut to your request). My friend had a veggie burger. A small menu means a better quality of meal.....holds true here. Most if not all ingredients are fresh and organic. Owner is very hands on during weekends and has her own accounting firm during the week. On the main drag where... More

We stumbled upon Tansy's on Main a couple of years ago when we were visiting in the fall. We had checked out the menu outside and decided to give it a try. The food was amazing - fresh and flavorful. And, I mean flavorful. I have dreamed about my dish (Creamy Pesto Pasta) ever since. We loved the area so... More

The food was delicious! Hubby ordered a burger with homemade fries and I tried the Tuscan soup and homemade bread. A quaint, little restaurant on the main street in Alma.

We ate at Tansy's because 1) we wanted to stay in town (not get back in the car), 2) the pub was filled with bikers, 3) the hotel was filled with elderly people eating broasted chicken, 4) our hotelier said Tansy's was "safe" now that the owner was cooking. The menu is very limited (which is understandable), and the pot... More

Jennifer and Steve are great hosts. The dinners are made from the freshest, best local ingredients. The restaurant is a cozy neat place with a home-town feel. The service is second-to-none. Grandma's Pot Roast served with carrots and mashed potatoes is highly recommended, as is their strawberry shortcake made from fresh, just-picked strawberries and made without extra sugar. This is... Our group really enjoyed our experience. There were enough of us that we tried almost everything on the menu. The kale salad was wonderful, chicken added, which was moist and tender. The pasta dish was perfectly prepared with a nice balance of sauce and noodles. The Reuben Burger was fantastic! The fish was perfectly prepared, tender and not too dry,... More
