Great place to stop to/from Door County

Enjoyed Caffe Tlazo for lunch on a drive up to Door County and found it to be very inviting and comfortable as long as you don't mind their self-serve order process which can take some time when they are busy. Delicious soup, panini sandwiches and salads.

I get to Cafe Tlazo as often as I can, and always consider it to be a treat to myself. I've always been there for breakfast/lunch and am consistently challenged in deciding what to get - but only because so many things sound wonderful. As a vegetarian, I am especially pleased by the variety of choices for me. A special... More

I decided to take a drive North from Two Rivers to enjoy the Winter landscapes and chose Caffe' Tlazo in Algoma for breakfast. Right on Hwy 42 with plenty of street parking, I almost missed it because the exterior is rather understated--but am I ever glad that I found them!u As it was Sunday morning (church time,) the place was... Delicious crepes with lingonberry cream and very creamy scrambled eggs. Excellent coffee drinks. Would definitely eat here again. It's a " little bit of Door County" before getting there.

We loved eating breakfast here. The help was very friendly, the food was fantastic!! This was certainly a hometown restaurant and we love to eat at places with local cuisine. The food was different, even down to the natural style oatmeal. The coffee was great and the price wasn't too bad. We'll definitely come here again.

On my second morning in Algoma, I stopped in for an Americano since all the restaurants I saw in town served your basic restaurant style sysco coffee. I was very pleasantly surprised at the food, coffee, service and atmosphere. We were there in October (off season) and it was between 7 and 8 am, so no big crowds. I ordered... More

Came for a late lunch had a chicken artichoke wrap that was just excellent. Ambiance is lovely. Don't be in a rush good food takes some time. Did I say don't be in a rush? Seriously I mean it! I can't give it five stars because they were understaffed at lunch. It's hard to be personable when you have so... More
