We have been here for breakfast once but would go back when we want to enjoy the view of the airport.
My sis and i stopped here for lunch today. It was amazing. Friendly waitress, good food, most of all.. This jet came by a few times! The scenery here cannot be beat anywhere in this area!
First off, the name "NASA" pays tribute to the "Naval Air Station at Arlington" (it has nothing to do with the space agency). Restaurant NASA (formerly "Taildraggers") is the on-field cafe at the Arlington airport. It is a bit pricier than "Taildraggers" was -- and is trying to be a bit more upscale. I have tried to eat at Nasa many times in the past year - the times and days varied each time - and not once was the restraurant open! I had been looking forward to trying something new in the area, but unfortunatly that hasn't been a possibility.

Burgers, sandwiches, soups and the rest are all solid and well prepared. Service is generally good, although they can be a bit slow with the check-- it is a... More

No wonder--the coffee was low quality and pie (small slice, large price) was Sara Lee (yes, they cooked a frozen pie from the grocery!). What a shame, because this location SHOULD be bustling from the opportunities in the area. :-(
I have been to this restaurant over the years, while it was under different ownership/management. The location has always been fantastic for pilots and locals wanting to watch airplanes from the front line. After living out of state the past couple years, I recently relcated back to the area and rediscovered this place. The service and food quality has improved... More
