Good local spot

Spent much of November and December working on a project in Anacortes. The Fidalgo Drive-In was a regular spot for lunch several times a week. My helper & I enjoyed the deluxe cheeseburger and fries every time. Another favorite of mine was the French dip sandwich which had a generous portion of... read more

I have been searching the area for a great, in my view a replacement for In-N-Out, as there none in Washington. The good news is that Fidalgo Drive-In has the formula at least for the classic cheeseburger. I have has sever in the last two weeks, and they are consistent. They fries are good, but not as good. What they... More

Busy place, run by a bunch of teenage gals. Fair prices for a good product. The nice thing about my combo was the choice of every side order available--from fried cheese curds to onion rings. The kid combos were very generous, and came with a beverage. Their large shakes were mongo, and I was quite surprised when ours came out.... More

We stopped in for a late dinner after a long drive up from the Olympic Peninsula. The food did not disappoint we had burgers and fries which were very good and hot and fresh. We also had shakes which were thick enough to eat with a spoon at first. Delicious.

This used to be an A&W, but is not locally and independently run. The menu is typical drive-in fare (burgers, fish and chips, shakes) with decent renditions of it all. The fun is in either eating in your car, or on their sunny deck with a great view of the main drag.

Yesterday my husband and I stopped in for dinner at the Fidalgo Drive-In Restaurant, and we are so happy we did! On the menu was Oven-Roasted turkey on deli honey wholewheat bread. They had prices for both a whole sandwich, and a half sandwich. After the half sandwich they had the word "recommended" underlined in green three times for emphasis.... More

BAD Food at expensive price. Very overpriced for what you get. Clams strips over-cooked. Tiny burgers with thin meat. For a great meal at a great price GO to the Bowling Alley on Commercial Ave. Seems odd but we'd lived here 15 years, and we only eat at the Bowling Alley, Anthony's, and the Greek place. Geri Deli good for... More

This used to be the local A&W. The chain is long-gone, but the restaurant remains. In town for a family reunion one of my aunts insisted we visit here for root-beer floats. Since it was lunch time many in the group ordered a full lunch. This is local diner eating--prepared to order, greasy and good. Several floats in sizes varying... More

I get that on a Saturday night the restaurant is busy. But HOLY MOSES!!!! I pressed the order button and 20 minutes later after no response I sent my husband inside. It's been 20 more minutes and still nothing. If I'd wanted slow service I would have gone to an ACTUAL restaurant, not a glorified BK.
