Adrift is always a fantastic meal, with locally sourced, deliciously prepared, creative dishes. This is a spot for appropriate special meals, but it is casual enough to go to far more frequently than that.

We were not sure what we would find rather late in the evening on a Monday night but found the Adrift to be surprising good. Had the blueberry salmon special and it was well done, with excellent risotto.

First of all, we had the most wonderful waitress named Nora attend to us for lunch. She was very attentive, but not over-the-top or anything. She let us take our sweet time going over the menu, and let us stay and chat after our meal. Secondly, the food is amazing. The garlic and rosemary fries are amazing! My friend and... More

We were not too sure what to expect since the closing time was mentioned as 10:00 PM, but the place was just throbbing with life; we had made a reservation for 9:45 PM, and were promptly taken to a table. The crab au gratin was great, and the blackened fish was very good

Our experience was mixed. The wine list is excellent so that was a good start. Our starter salads were good, although the buttermilk dressing on my beet salad was just that...tasted like someone had dumped buttermilk on. My main of breaded oysters with nori and sesame seed crust was very nice, but husband's seafood stew was just okay. Small, flavourless... More

We went to Adrift for dinner on Saturday. She had the halibut, and I had a burger. Both were excellent. Service was quite good despite the Saturday evening dinner rush. We had reservations elsewhere on Sunday and cancelled to go back to Adrift, only to find it closed. That's a shame because we were looking forward to eating there twice.

We went there for breakfast, and it was heavenly. I ordered a $5.50 egg biscuit sandwich, but I was served and charged for a $10 fried egg sandwich... plus $3.00 for bacon that I specifically said I didn't want. But... regardless of the mix-up, the food was exceptional and the service was friendly. I ate every single bite and didn't... More

We visited Adrift for lunch while spending an afternoon in Anacortes. The menu features fresh seafood (located near the Sound), which is what drew us in. They are also making a killer burger. I ordered the fish tacos, which had a very generous portion of halibut. The decor is a fun eclectic mix of the seashore and a library. I... More

Have been here several times over the past several years. Sometimes 3 of 4 meals will be good, 1 poor. Other times, 2 of 4 will be good, 2 bad. Very inconsistent. One time asked if the fish was "salty/fishy" tasting. Was told it was flaky, white meat like redfish or red snapper. It was like Mackerel -- ugh!!! Ate... More

Was visiting anacortes yesterday around dinner time. My fiance ate here a couple of months ago and thought I might enjoy it as well. So this time the whole family got to try out adrift. First the outter appearance doesn't quite give you the full impression of what a wonderful place. On any other day if I was walking by,... More
