I enjoyed a terrific bacon burger with blue cheese crumbles. I had beef in my head, but the smoked salmon quiche almost won. The staff aimed to please-down to ensuring I had the right kind of mustard. The desserts looked fabulous but we had no room. Next time well eat dessert first!

You know how sometimes you just want good old-fashioned comfort food? No trying to figure out what weird combinations of ingredients will taste like, just regular unpretentious yummy food? This place has that! Our family of three ate here after arriving off the early ferry from Orcas Island last week. The place was packed, and there was a line, but... More

I stopped in for breakfast before whale watching and wasn't disappointed. I had the breakfast sampler with a pancake, egg and bacon. At first I was a little leery of the pancake because I always thought I preferred a light, fluffy pancake but this pancake was different and one of the best I've ever had. Seating is very efficient as... More

My daughter and I were returning from ferry excursion to/from an Orcas Island vacation and looking for a nice breakfast. We were attracted by the quaint exterior and summery look of the restaurant on the main thoroughfare. The interior was very appealing, clean and extremely busy. Menu was quite varied. I had the cinnamon roll French toast and it was... More

This is our second visit. Best breakfasts we have ever had in any restaurant anywhere. Everyone had a different "hash" and all loved their meal. I remember I had the pancakes the first time and they were the best pancakes ever. Be prepared tho as this place is very popular and very busy. They sell amazing baked goods too. I... More

I've been coming here for at least the last 20 years, but I'm done. This was the worst experience. We had a party of 9 and none of the food was edible. My husband got a chicken Caesar that came out warm, the clam chowder was aweful. My veggie burger was mediocre at best. I realize it was a busy... More

What a treat to find a restaurant that really provides home cooking and great service. We stumbled upon this place in Anacortes when we were looking for a breakfast place. We were thrilled with the find. The Calico has a great atmosphere, the largest cinnamon rolls I've ever seen and our breakfast was amazing. I had the biscuits and gravy... More

We went to this restaurant twice on vacation. The cinnamon rolls are amazing. Food is great. Service was poor one day and excellent another, depends on which waitress you get.

We've been coming up to the Anacortes Art Festival for years, have always only bought goods or Lattes from the bakery. Boy have we been missing out on actually sitting down and having breakfast! The Butternut Squash Hash is amazing! My Mom had the a Sampler, excellent as well. Breakfast will be had for years to come!

The Calico Cupboard is a fantastic place for breakfast and brunch. The homemade pastries, especially the cinnamon buns, are unbelievably good and generous in size. You may think you'll eat only a portion but the whole thing disappears before your eyes almost by magic. The egg dishes are great as is the service. We particularly liked the home kitchen table...
