We were looking for a Pub/Restaurant for a good place to have Fish chowden, and a great Mini Brrew. This place will not disappoint you. Great lunch, one had crab chowder, one Oyster and chips, last one Fish Taco. All were great! Have I mentioned that the servers, Grace and Angus were not only able to do many things at... More

We went here a few times during a recent business trip. Food is decent and they have a reasonable selection of drinks. It's a hangout for locals as well as tourists. Typical pub-style atmosphere. No frills.

The Brown, as the locals call it, has a friendly atmosphere along with a broad selection of beers and spirits. They also serve good food and provide excellent service. If you're in Anacortes, you have to at least experience it once.

If you want to mix with locals, this is the place to be. We went on a Saturday night. Very busy, but they seated us right away. Service was excellent. The food is typical pub house food, but had a nice variety of drinks and food on the menu.

The Brown Lantern is what pubs are supposed to look and feel like. They serve your typical pub food-like fish and chips with it not being to heavily battered to good selection of beers and ciders. They have the right type of atmosphere to watch a football game(especially if you are a Seahawks fan) to just hanging out with your... More

We were hungry for dinner and someone from the Anacortes yacht club steered us to the The Brown Lantern Ale House when we inquired about a local place to eat. The place is definitely a pub. There was Sunday football playing on TV. We ordered burgers and beers. The server was friendly and kept the beers coming. A great local... More

The Brown Lantern was everything I love about pubs. It's authentic, quaint, and serves up a great pint! I enjoyed a Guinness, but they serve several local brews on tap. You can even purchase a growler to take home your favorite ale. I enjoyed the hot soft pretzel with cheddar cheese - fantastic! A woman next to me ordered a... More
