Great place to stop for a cold beer and a bite to eat

We have eaten here before and the place never lets us down. Great selection of beverages. Plenty of options for food. Approx $30 per couple for a nice meal. This is casual dining. Fish tacos are yummy. I love the calamari. Tried some ginger adult beverage, wanted more, but knew better.

Fun tavern with great food- what you would imagine from an ale house in a boating town. Where the locals can be found. Friendly staff.

Great bar, good restaurant with a large menu. The servers are friendly and this bar/restaurant is my favorite spot to grab a beer or meet some friends. The local musicians entertain here and it blends perfectly with the scene. This is a good hangout whether you are a local or just passing through.

Not a bad place. Lots of locals hang out here. For me "In and Out" has the best burgers around. If "In and Out" is a 10, then the Brown Lantern is a 7.

Husband took me here because he liked the food. Well Now I like the food too!!! I don't drink beer but that's ok here. They have non alcoholic beverages too. Not a noisy bar just a bit dark. They have a beer garten out back that is pleasant too.

Relaxed bar on one side with family dining on the other. Lots of sports pictures and jerseys hang everywhere, as well as historic pictures. Established in 1933, it has an old time charm. Lacee provided great service. My wife enjoyed her Thai salad and I had the BLT with some crab corn chowder. The ciabatta roll for the sandwhich was... More

I am a fish and chip enthusiast. If you are too, be sure to stop here. They use beer batter, none of this sissy Pablo breading. In addition to amazing cod they also serve battered prawns. We had an order of each. The order included good crisp fries and fresh, not sweet, cole slaw. My idea of a perfect meal.... More

Visited this place a couple times the week I was here. They had a good selection of local beers which were really good. On Tuesday nights the have trivia night which was a lot of fun. Their food is typical bar food. Nothing to rave about. But it was good bar food. Hit this place up if you are in... More

Place seems like a cool place to hangout and drink. Staff was friendly and nice, service was solid. I had the fried calamari with a side salad. The calamari was bland, the sauce it came was uninspiring. I probably should have order a burger.

The Brown Lantern is a staple with the Anacortes locals with rotating beers on tap, full bar, great pub food options, and sports playing on numerous TV's. I stop here almost every time I am traveling thru Anacortes.
