Whether it is summer on the back patio or in a group set up in the long tables inside or two for dinner, we have had good service and great food every visit
What a surprise for a Mexican restaurant. We had been to one across the street a year ago that was ho-hum. Stopped here on a whim for a late lunch with a friend after scrubbing a boat interior and was delighted and surprised with the high quality of the margaritias (Yay! not from a MIX!), the menu choices (not your... We've eaten here before and loved it but I guess over time I had forgotten how good it is. When I took my first bite I was over come by the richness and breadth of flavor. My significant other had the same experience and in fact we enjoyed our individual dishes so much we opted not to share with each... More
This is another nice surprise in Anacortes. Might be a bit too gourmet for people looking for basic mexican food. The back bar area is cool.
We were there on a quiet Sunday afternoon/evening. Lovely place with the Frida art and dark decor. Server was okay, could benefit from being a bit more friendly. Not that he was unfriendly, just kind of blah. I'm not sure there was any alcohol in my margarita. I'm what I call a cheap drunk, and I didn't feel a thing... More
Love this place and enjoy the homage to Frida Kahlo. They do a fantastic job of offering interesting food. I will visit often.
Our dinner was amazing, very authentic Mexican food, service was great too. The entrées were not all the standard Mexican choices so we were able to try something new. We were not rushed through dinner and for dessert, a platter was brought to our table with all the options on it. We had a very enjoyable evening.
We had a lovely dinner at fridas. Loved the guacamole with potatoe tacos as an appetizer. It was a refreshing and wonderful change from you basic guacamole appetizer served at most mexican restaurants. The pork tamales with tomatillo sauce were amazing. Decor is charming. Would definitely go back to eat there next time I am in Anacortes.
I need to start out by saying we were there on the last day of the arts festival in town. It was pretty busy and from what we found out later it had been a crazy weekend. Our service at first was not very good. Again it was very busy. When we were served and started eating, all was forgiven.... More
A friend recommended Frida's in Anacortes so we went to see for ourselves. The menu is extensive, over wide range of popular Mexican American and authentic Mexican dishes. My wife chose Chiles en Nogada and I had Camarones Vincente Rojo. Both were well presented with generous portions. The spices were well proportioned and gave the dishes significant spicy flavors, which... More
