Not sure

Tried to go here last Saturday about 230pm. All that was available was bar type appetizers and sliders, etc. Disappointed that in the middle of the day on a Saturday they had a very limited menu. Left and went to the Virginia Barbeque place down the street.

This building is old and interesting. There was outside seating also. Good menu, I ordered Risotto Stuffed Squash, and it was delicious! ("Parmesan and herb risotto in grilled zucchini and yellow squash and served with house-made Soarito sauce"). Yes, it was expensive, but, hey I can get fast food anywhere! This was delicious and different! Am looking forward to eating... More

Delicious meal; my wife and I went their for our anniversary and were given a complimentary glass of champagne. Watching the trains go by is an added attraction. Excellent service--waitress helped with wine selection. A bit pricey, but worth it.

We have been here many times over the past 10 years, and have sadly decided that we will not be back. This is the overall impression: great atmosphere, nice menu with high prices, Bad service, nothing comes with those high prices - not even good food. We were excited to dine on the outside section, right along the railroad tracks.... More

Really great steak, salad was fresh, the wine was also very good. The desert, pecan pie, seemed store bought. That was, if pressed for one, the only low point.

I was in town for a small conference and the conference dinner (~40ppl) was held at the Iron Horse. Began with a cocktail hour in one room and then dinner in the main dining room. Seeing that it was my first time in Ashland, and the town seemed small and average - The Iron Horse was refreshingly great. The mixed... More

Nice atmosphere, excellent food, very attentive waiters. For an appetizer we had the salmon deviled eggs and they were out of this world good! Steaks were perfect.

With over 50 trains a day running through the center of town there is always some "iron horse" visible from the dining rooms and up close on the sidewalk tables. Both AMTRAK passenger and CSX very long freights pass right outside this top Ashland restaurant. On our visit we enjoyed a perfectly prepared sirloin filet accompanied by shrimp and grits.... More
