We arrived about 6 on a Friday evening. There were several empty tables and one couple waiting. After several minutes the other couple was seated. The hostess asked if we preferred a table or booth and then proceeded to tell the other hostess. Several more minutes went by elapsed with no apparent progress in getting us seated do we left.... Steaks are excellent and overall most of the food is above average. Service is above average. Great place for a good meal that will fill up most people. Not noisy and plenty of seating.

While our son was on a visit to Randolph Macon my husband and I had dinner at Turners. We chose it based off the reviews on Trip Advisor. We had the steak special and Crab Cakes. My husbands steak was wonderful, nicely seasoned, huge 14oz and cooked perfectly. However, my crab cakes were average. If I had a complaint it... More

Turner's is our "go to" place when friends and family come into town or are passing through. We've had just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Their burgers are mouth watering, freshly prepared and cooked just right. Their prime rib is to die for - we've even called ahead to make sure the prime rib was... More

We have visited Turners a few times since our student started college in Ashland. The first visit was good and uneventful. Cannot really say that about the visit this week. Our waitress seemed frustrated and become upset when I asked her to replaced one unclean utensil and glass. She slammed the replacement glass on the table when she returned. The... More

I often arrive by train into Ashland and wasn't sure where to eat. Happened upon Turners and had a very good steak. The servers are friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a nice small town feel about it.

The service was excellent, our waitress was friendly and prompt. The food wasn't 5 star, but it was pretty tasty. We had onion rings, Reuben Sandwich with Fries, Chef Salad, and the Seafood Salad Cold Plate. We will definitely go back again for lunch, and I'll more than likely try dinner as well.

Been there a number of times, most recently in May. They consistently have great food and great prices. It's a family atmosphere and a good casual place to eat. The chicken breast dishes are always a good option and big enough to share. Green beans are fabulous and definitely down home cooking. Love the mashed potatoes and gravy too. Let's... More

we had a very good family dinner early on a weeknight. this place isn't the ironhorse in terms of food quality, but the prices reflect that. our waitress was punctual and friendly. our orders came out quickly. the rolls were average but not bad, and big. my fried catfish was decent and the cole slaw side was good. my wife's...
