When you least expect it...expect it. Yens is a family owned business and it shows. From the moment you come in to the time you leave you are catered by a family that really cares about its food and customers. If you're really lucky you may just get a chance to meet Mama. Thus restaurant was good a few years ago. Went today and things had drastically changed. Great servers very attentive and always smiling. First ordered a glass of house Cabernet. Was not they didn't have any only Merlot. I ordered that. Unfortunately the wine had been open for a long time. It even smelled old. They brought me a Stella Beer... More

Finally found a great Taiwanese restaurant that I can share with friends who are looking for good chinese food. Really enjoy their tea selections and extensive menu.

Wanted to try this place given the high ratings and our love of Asian food. Unfortunately, I don't think the place lived up to the reviews. The menu did offer a huge selection and some unique options. We had the bourbon chicken and the hot and sour noodle soup- both were OK, but neither great. The soup was misleading as... More

From the moment we stepped into Yen's we knew we had left the USA behind us for a while. Seeing the crates of produce by the entrance, and the "Happy Buddha Man" statue were two clues, as well as the genuine aroma of incredible dishes and the sound of Chinese language in the background. The dining nag area is cramped,... More

I'm very fond of Chinese food having grown up at a time that they all served Cantonese style. Yen's says they offer Taiwanese and they may very do so. All I know is that everything was delicious. We ordered take out and had Chicken Lo-Mein, Potstickers, Crispy Sesame Beef, Sesame Chicken and a side of Broccoli. Four of us, not... More

You can quickly spot a quality Chinese restaurant by the quality of the rice and the tea. We ordered jasmine tea, which was delicious. This is good quality tea that has a richness in the flavor and aroma. Yen's Cafe is a cozy environment with a very friendly and attentive wait staff. The menu offers a wide range of choices.... My family is in Virginia for a few days for a wedding and my uncle who lives here brought us to this very authentic Taiwanese place for dinner. All the dishes were delicious especially the Taiwanese style fried chicken - so yummy! We also enjoyed the fillet fish with black bean sauce and the braised meatballs with Napa in a... More

Read the reviews! They are so true! We came here after a very long trip up Skyline drive, hours of driving. Saw the reviews and had to try it. I was craving Chinese, Americanized of course. I hate most Chinese places bc they use dark meat, grisly and chewy. I was intrigued by the menu as it stated white meat.... More

Food has been mediocre. I ordered lo mein and it was lacking in flavor. Restaurant is very cramped, not recommended for a business lunch or dinner. While my experiences have been acceptable, this is not my first choice for Asian cuisine in Ashburn.
