This non-assuming homey country like eatery (which sits next to the W & O Bike Trail) has the some of the best barbeque in N. Virginia. Chicken, Beef or Port - or tender delicious ribs - your choice. The cuisine is simple 'pulled something' and 2 sides. You can have a platter, which means no bread. The price is so... More

Excellent pulled pork with all the sides you'd expect with pulled pork. And, set in an old general store with the old wood floor still jntact (Partlow Brothers), this place has great character. Now, for all of the nay-sayers, this ain't a gourmet five-star restaurant. It's a pulled pork joint and it delivers exactly that. Good food at a good... More

I have been a customer of businesses in this building since the 70's. Only two that I really liked and that was the Partlow Brothers Store and Carolina Brothers Q. Most old timers in Ashburn know the building as Partlows or as we AVFD volunteers used to think of it the Ashurn Mall. Well I gotta say that Melvin and... More

Located in the outskirts of the historic district of Asburn, this slice of the south is located in a old railroad depot buiding and gives you that southern feel along with some great southern food. I had the pulled pork sandwhich with southern green beans and baked beans. I spied some pecan pie as well and grabbed that for dessert.... More

If you are looking for some good old Southern comfort food and outstanding BBQ, you should try this place. The BBQ was perfectly cooked and seasoned sauces were excellent. It's very casual and also located just beside the W&OD Bike Trail. It would make a great destination for people or families on a bike outing. There are tables inside and... More

The setting is extremely informal indoors and there is ample outdoor seating as well. It is conveniently located to the W&OD, so they have made this a very bike-friendly stop. This is a walk up and place your order operation, so don't anticipate a server. I'm not a huge fan of BBQ, but I make an exception for theirs. Don't... More

Good BBQ served with generous sides. Sides choices are usually, coleslaw ( fresh, lightly dressed), potato salad, baked beans, Mac and cheese, and green beans ( the southern kind with ham ). You order at the counter and seat yourself. Staff is friendly. Sitting in the old Partlow store looking at the pig knickknacks and people watching the bicyclers who... More

We've used Carolina Brother's a couple of times, ordering in advance and then picking up "the goods". The food is excellent! As a sit down place, it's a bit of a dive, having previously been the Partlow General Store in Ashburn. Guess from that perspective, it's kind of neat. From a service perspective, it's counter service so don't expect to... More

Visiting from out of town, our friend brought us here. Kind of set up the same way a lot of good Texas BBQ joint...simple layout, simple menu. The pork was nice and tender. The dripping sauce had just enough spice and the BBQ sauce counterbalanced it well. Definitely worth the visit. Perfect lunch spot.
