We live in a small Florida town and are always intrigued by the places offered in other areas, especially in and around the D.C. area where so many cultures mix. I know there are many other things that go on in this restaurant such as poetry and art, but this review is just about our eating there for lunch. We... More

I went on Labor Day for Brunch and I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my friend ordered the chicken panini with avocado on multigrain bread. My eggs benedict were okay, they weren't excellent, the eggs were overcooked and they plate could've used more sauce. That being said my friend's panini was AMAZING!! She let me try it and i wish... We got to Busboys and Poets at 10:30 a half hour before they closed at 11:00. Despite our late entrance the staff, especially our waitress, was amazing. The food was really good and the drink were great as well. The dining area is cool and has lots to look at. I recommend this one for sure!

Had lunch and was quite surprised that it was so good. The look from the outside was deceiving. They don't have a huge menu but what they offered was very good, and at a decent price. This was the most reasonable of all of the restaurants that we went to in the Village at Shirlington.

Okay, this isn't your average restaurant. It's above average! It's one of those unique restaurants in the Shirlington Village area near Alexandria VA (just outside D.C.) that's worth a visit. Not only is the name unique (taken from the former busboy Langston Hughes who became a noted poet) but the menu offers a wide variety of choices. It's very popular... More

This is a great place for breakfast. Lots of healthy and organic options. The grits are amazing - go ahead get the cheese! Good service. Wi-Fi and outdoor seating available.

Had breakfast and lunch here. Great organic eclectic menu. Lots of vegetarian choices. Even my carnivorous boyfriend found something he liked however he would not go a third time although I tried.

We were in town with a lot of Family and needed a place to hang out to just enjoy each others company....Saturday Afternoon, Beers and chatter...hit the spot! Then the Sunday morning hit them up for a wonderful breakfast cooked to order and they did not mind customizing a few of the orders. Would highly recommend this spot if you... More

Good food, a nice bar and a real nice location with outdoor sitting. We have dined at this location on many occasions and found it pleasing at all times. The restaurant is in Shirlington which is a nice local for people watching. I highly recommend 'Shrimp & Grits', their signature dish
