Wonderful Experience!

Kate and I were on a very short trip to DC and only had one night to dine out. We’ve been to Jose Andres’ flagship restaurant Minibar and found ourselves very near one of his other restaurants so we decided to try it. We had a wonderful experience! The restaurant is loud and crowded but I guess... read more

Started with lovely cocktails served in stylish coupe glasses. The jamon and three cheese first course followed by the chicken and mushroom paella and a sturdy Cabernet made for the perfect meal. Gracious service from the manager who opened the door and seated me kindly near an outlet so I could recharge to the knowledgeable waitress and her team made... More

Poor Quality Wine and Food - Managers are abrupt, sullen and rude. Stay away, tourist trap. If you want the lowest grade jug wine you will love Jaleo to have that rotten stomach feeling, that green sick ( I would like to vomit) feeling then go to Happy Hour at Jaleo. Add to that greasy meat (of the lowest choice)... More

The Adria style "olives" were crazy salty. The tapas sized "paella" was missing the calamari and desperately needed some acid. We put lemon on it. The bread and chocolate was missing the olive oil which is a major flavor component. The baby calamari and bean dish was really off. It had a heavy fishy stench which was not normal. The... More

We happened on Jaleo by chance and decided to take a chance! We opted for the fixed price special with 5 choices I believe it was, and each was hot and delicious. Very good service in a pleasant atmosphere. Easy walking distance from several near by hotels. If you enjoy tapas you will not be disappointed here!

Visted with three friends. We ordered off a set special menu which gave us enough variety to try different stuff. Tasty portions, generously sized for tapas. Calamari was particularly good as were lentils. Attentive and pleasant service throughout. Size of rraft beers was a bit small for the price and I thought the wine list was pricy as well. P,easant... Four of us went to the Jaleo Restaurant on a Saturday in January to celebrate my wife's birthday. We ordered 10 of the tapas plates and a dessert among us and a $46 bottle of red wine. The tapas dishes were all extremely good and very well prepared. I particularly liked the calamari and the Brussels sprouts but it would... More

Chief Andres has outdone himself with his Crystal City location. It is fresh and shiny and all the things that a traditional Spanish Tapas joint is not, dark and heavy with wood. Ok first thing you need to know, Jaleo's is one rocking-tapas joint. So when I say that you must know that it is no place to hold a... More

Went on a late Saturday afternoon. Sat immediately. Gracious host, and our server was very friendly and knowledgable about every item on the very extensive menu. The patatas bravas are to die for. Between the three of us, we tried 9 tapas and were not disappointed with a single one. A very upscale and pleasurable dining experience. The only reason... More
