This restaurant has a wonderful assortment of different Spanish tapas dishes. The seafood paella was very well seasoned and the taste of squid was pronounced (which I liked). (Admittedly, paella is different all over Spain, I prefer mine to have a little crunch with the rice. This one had no crunch at all.) The sangria was not too sweet or... More

We have had good experiences at the Jaleo downtown, so when we had guests in town and were looking for a fun, tasty place to take them and could not get reservations there, we decided to try the one in Crystal City. By no means was this place terrible, but the food is not quite as good as the one... More

Last night was one of those perfect mother/daughter nights that will always be remembered with a smile. My daughter, who lives within walking distance of Jaleo, suggested we have an early dinner at this wonderful little restaurant before going to the Kennedy Center to see the "Lion King". The bar was bustling with Friday evening libations & laughter. Our server... More

Best to come with adventuresome friends and everyone get at least one dish they have never had! The pan con tomato, potatas bravas, and flautas hamon are my favorites. Don't overlook the cheese selections either. Everything here is good. If the weather permits, dine alfresco... And don't skip the wine!

We went here with a business group of nine. Luckily, we weren't in any hurry, because this was really not the place to go if we had been. First, serving the dishes was completely disorganized. Every dish came at a random time. All of mine were served early, some of the others didn't get their first dish until half an... More

If weather permits, get an outside table. Order a bunch of plates and a bottle of wine. Enjoy unforgettably delicious, authentic tapas with friends. I can't wait to return!

We've been fans of Jaleo for some time. The Crystal City outpost is just as good as downtown. It's fun to try different things every time and we've never been disappointed. We had our 15 month old with us and the staff was accomodating and there are plenty of friendly options that worked great! We usually order the red sangria... More
