Stopped by on a business trip recently with a few colleagues. We shared a couple tapas. Servings sixe is pretty typical but the flavors are amazing. Service was terrific. Place was packed and a bit on the noisy side especially for a Tuesday. I would go again.

Jaleo is the go-to place in Crystal City for good food and atmosphere. The choices are endless so choose wisely. You can order quite a bit and still be hungry or be filled by just a couple of choices. If you read carefully the menu gives all the information you need. For example the potato dishes and omelets make a... More

My wife has been asking me to go to Jaleo for years....and I broke down and went for our anniversary. It was absolutely excellent... Our waiter, James, was charming and helpful and the six little plates we ordered - particularly the beet salad and braised short rib (....we ordered both a second time) were simply perfect. Kind of busy and... More

This was my first time eating at this location and it was just as great as eating in DC only the parking is better! Same tapas menu - and everything tasted great. The wait staff, from the watering people to the hostesses and the waiters were super friendly and attentive. The manager was very busy greeting people on the floor... More

I chose to dine here even though I was alone, and a restaurant serving Tapas is better experienced in a group. I ordered a few dishes to try different things. The Jamon Iberico Bellota was outstanding. The Patatas Bravas were ok, I have had better. The meat dish I have that I do not remember the name of, pork of... More

We often take the kids or out of town guests for a food adventure and one our favorite places is Jaleo in D.C. The only problem is they are a block away from the Verizon Center; so if there is an event then they will be busy. Having said that, it is a blast to have dinner with the family... More

My husband and I walked here from our hotel after a recommendation from a friend who lives in the area. Had a little bit of a hard time understand our waitress as her Spanish accent was so strong and she went over the menu so fast. This is not a place you sit down and order a meal, instead each... I had eaten at Jaleo before but it had been 3-4 years. I wanted to take my 12 year old daughter to try Tapas on our visit to DC, so I went back to Jaleo in hopes that it would be as great as we remembered. I was not disappointed!! The service was great. Our waitress was very friendly with... More

I am a paella fanatic--full stop. If you want a great one, look no further than Jaleo. My wife and i went for the $20 paella Sunday special--soup, paella and dessert. It was a cold day so the soup was a winter squash one in stead of a cold gazpacho--much appreciated! Our server Beatriz was incredible--very kind, explained everything to... More
