Good Mexican food at reasonable prices

This restaurant was recommended, and I can see why. Two of us had seafood entrees, and both were very good. My seafood in cream sauce consisted of shrimp, scallops, and calamari. The seafood was tasty and tender, not overlooked. My husband had an enchilada special of the day, and it was... read more

I enjoy eating tex-mex style food but I got very upset every time I went to uncle julio's because of the food quality and the price. El Paso has reasonably priced food and great drinks. The skinny margartia is excellent as well as the guacamole. Service is sometimes slow but I don't mind because my margarita is ususally refilled plenty... More

Decent food but nothing stands out. Nothing wrong with it but it just doesn't do it for me. The decor needs a serious update, too much gaudy stuff on the walls. Staff is nice but service is inconsistent. Food is good but nothing stands out. Sorry, I don't get the ratings this one gets.

The food was excellent, margaritas were delicious and the service was great. This was our favorite meal on our visit to Arlington!

We went there on a Friday and this place was jam packed but the wait was only about 15 minutes at 7:30. I highly recommend that you make reservations. The tortillas and the sauce were very good. PUpusa was excellent. We ordered the chicken fajita and shared it and we still could not finish it. They had a ton of... More

This is the place to go in Northern Virginia for excellent Central American ethnic cuisine. A friend and I had fajitas (pronounced fah-hee-tas). Each of us had steak and shrimp. Very delicious and served piping hot! The sides were brown rice and beans. The service is prompt, friendly and efficient. The restaurant keeps music going so if you are hard... More

Decor is cheesy but hands down the best Salvadorian/Mexican food in Arlington. Excellent pupusas. Very affordable.

Wife and I arrived at peak traffic time: Sunday 7:00 p.m. Yes, kitchen was backed up, but I give props to our waitress, who apologized and gave us a time estimate of food arrival. Ambience was like a Mexican TGIF, albeit with distasteful severed heads of deer interspersed on the walls. We ordered from the good selection of vegetarian plates... More

Good food, good service, reasonably priced. We always look forward to a visit. They have a full-service bar and on occasion music. My only reservation is that it's very small and sometimes difficult to get a table.

Mexican food isn't done any better in Arlington than at the El Paso Cafe. Few of the dishes would be recommended by one's dietician but all that I have sampled have been delicious despite being calorie laden. Portion size is generous and prices are reasonable. Don't be tempted to fill-up on the bottom-less basket of tortilla chips that are brought... More
