Good food and friendly staff

I love this place more than kabob palace and the food is much better here.. chick peas have more flavor and chicken kabobs are very tender and juicy.

Good Food. Try their Chicken Karahi(In-bone Chicken curry) & their Lamb Chops. Food is tasty, Ambiance is ok. The place is packed all the time so you might have to wait a bit if you want to eat there. It is not cheap though. Four people would pay about $60-70. oh yea, they only take cash so be prepared just... More

Having been coming here for years. My dad is from Bombay and loves it.go on friday or Saturday when they make their specialty dishes. Everything is fresh authentic and delicious. You also get a low key hole in the wall that can easily turn into a cultural experience with all the people.

f'ing amazing!!! I love lamb chops and they were made to order. Blackened and seared to the bone. Juicy off the bone and delectable. I was here a weekday night, past 9 pm, and found a place to sit right away. yes, this is a no frills place. If you know your food, you won't miss this gem.

Go there for the food. It's not a place with ambiance... It's a busy, bustling place with great food. This was the my second trip to DC this year (2015). I made a point to go there even though the I am staying downtown. I would go again if I had enough nights on this business trip. To end you... More

Went to Ravi kabob based on recommendation. There are 2 of these joints opposite each other. We picked the less busy version-mistake!. Supervisor was most disinterested and aloof. This is a strictly no frills experience complete with plastic cutlery, poly foam cups and paper plates. We ordered the chicken and lamb karahi. Lamb dish was full of bony cuts and... More

Stopped here the other evening for take-out. This is a "fast food" kind of place, with take-out as well as some tables. It is very popular with a variety of locals and Pakistanis, apparently, because the place was packed. My curried chicken was, at best, fair. Rice was good and a veggie side is included in the price (I had... More

I have been going to this little restaurant for years. It's always packed, and for good reason. The food is delicious. The service is prompt. And it's very good value for the money. Kabob platters, basmati rice, chickpeas, spinach...it's all good. And the naan - yum. They have a small eat in area that's usually packed, so I get take... More

We had a big group, so you can take this review based on that. The service seemed fast, but not very accurate. The food came first and then after quire a wait, we received any bread. My diet coke appeared pretty much after my meal. But if you go there for the food, then forget about everything, and just enjoy... More

I have been eating at Ravi for many years and the food is consistently excellent. My favorite is the lamb shanks every Tuesday. Tender and flavorful. The chick peas and nan are the best. Bone in chicken and all the kabobs are tender and mildly spiced. A gem.
