We had a mezze trio (hummus, lebneh, and a red pepper salad) followed by lamb chops and mousaka. Everything was above average. Pita was served warm and obviously prepared in house. The lamb chops were so tender they were easily cut with a fork. Large portions with nice presentation. The wait staff was friendly and courteous. The location just off... More

A delightful discovery just off Route 66, Yayla is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Northern Virginia. A full menu of appetizers, soups, salads and entrees triggers the taste buds and forces some difficult choices to be made for dinner. The Mezze platter for two was the right choice with its variety of both hot and cold dishes in... More

The service was wonderful, they honored our reservation without any wait. The menu has great selections. The food was mostly great, but appetizers were a bit small, difficult to share. The wine list has some interesting Greek wines and we all loved the desserts.

I'm stingy with my Excellent ratings, but Yayla deserves it, hands down. Our small group went on a Thursday for dinner. The conversation was easy (i.e. not a noisy restaurant) and the service was exceptional and not rushed. There is so much to like about this menu, I can't wait to go back and try some other things. I had... More

Five of us came here on Saturday night. This was our second visit. We were given a table right the way. We ordered the trio of humus, Kacik and Htipiti. These spreads are so fresh that we order the second one. Lahmjun is the best I have ever had. Spinach pie was delish as well. Fyi: My wife tried the... More

We liked the menu and the simple one page presentation of it. Similarly, the dessert menu (much smaller) came on one page. There was a great selection on the menu which made our decisions difficult; we will return. Parking is a little challenging... we parked on the street about 2 blocks away (after 6 pm when it is free) and... More

Thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked the food. As for parking, the Crescent Tower building located next door (on the same side of the street as Yayla) allows customers of local businesses to park FREE for 2 hrs. Turn down the little alley next to Yayla Bistro and then right into the parking garage. The guest spots are... More

Thanks for commenting on the freshness of our food. In Turkish culture “YAYLA” stands for everything that is natural, pure and fresh. At Yayla Bistro we offer traditional and healthy Mediterranean specialties that are prepared with the highest standards of freshness and quality. We wouldn't dream of serving food that has been pre-made and frozen. We make 95% of our... More

Went there with my wife last night. We have adopted a plant centric diet. This place had tons of choices for vegetarian or pescetarian. We got the appetizer sampler and the Bronzino fish. Everything was excellent. Everything that was served to the other tables also looked awesome. the food prices were great. we had some Turkish wine. It was nice.... More

Thanks for kind review, and thanks for reaffirming that we have something for everyone. I had to google Flexitarian and found that the Flexitarian Diet is for casual vegetarians: Those who don't want to eliminate meat completely, but still want to reap the health benefits associated with plant-based diets. I think this is very similar to the Mediterranean Diet. See... More

Very pretty restaurant and very clean. Waiters are really nice as well. Food is excellent and is cheap. Between $- $$. Only down fall is Happy hour is only at the bar, so if that's what you want make sure you sit at the bar. Warning Drinks are really expensive $6.00 for a beer and $11.00 for a really small... More

Thanks for your 5-star review. I'm really glad you liked our food and we hope you will come back often so you will get to try everything on our menu.
