This is old school

If you want the good old restaurant and service this is the place. The Ballston area of Arlington has lots of choices for food, but Willow is unique in style and class. I have had two recent meals there and they were both good. The last was scallops- and they were to die for.

I am not a big "sweets" person but I do love the cakes. I would ship a cake to florida if I could. The dinners have always been excellent and have a great presentation. They also have a wonderful wine selection along with a full bar.

The food is fresh, waiters helpful and knowledgeable, bit on the pricey side, but well worth it. I appreciate their attention to food allergies and the extensive gluten free offerings

Went to Willow with friends who had enjoyed it in the past. We went there a few years ago several times for lunch and I really liked the food. We went for dinner. Even though we had reservations we were given a so so table and were semi ignored by our waiter. The food was just OK. I was really... More

I've been to this restaurant dozens of times over the years and it continues to be a go-to place on a Friday night when we can't decide where to eat. But you never know if it you are going to get the "good Willow" or the "bad Willow". The good Willow serves innovative dishes, cooked to perfection with attentive professional... More

Tracy, the chef, welcomed me as I walked in. She was aware of our group meeting and put together a couple platters of cheese puffs, and added a few delicious gluten-free biscuits when I told her one of our group couldn't eat wheat. Our waiter, Jasper, took wonderful care of us, and we accomplished the networking goal of our gathering... More

USED to be on top of our list of restaurants. Until a couple of nights ago. Service was terrible, inattentive and slow. This was supposed to be a special meal. Oh well. Salad to share showed up with no plates. Once main course showed up, after twiddling our thumbs for an hour, it was not worth the effort. Or, in... More

Shared lunch with a colleague and was very pleased with this restaurant. A warm and welcome atmosphere with lots of business folks. Nice variety of more unique lunch sandwich and soup selections with nice table linens. Prices were extremely fair given the locale. Would love to try to bar over happy hour as it presents a very attractive design. Will... More

The food at Willow is sure to delight all palates - even if menu items seem strange like the deep fried tempura crab cakes - rest assured everything is delicious. Wines are well selected and a sample is available to make up one's mind. Unfortunately the service let us down, clumsy, inattentive, out of place are gentle ways to describe... More

We live in Ballston and like to walk to dinner. Willow provides a wonderful dining experience and offers enjoyable outside dining during the warm months. There is also both a bar and full restaurant menu, so you can choose what strikes your fancy. Flatbreads, especially the Fairfax, are awesome. The summer salad, with a great mix of summer centric tomatoes... More
