Get the Tom Kha Kai

Visited on recommendation from Thai friends, who say this is their favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Shared a large tom kha kai (delicious hot soup with chicken, mushrooms, peppers, and lemon grass in coconut broth), a plate of nua pradprick kraprao (sauteed beef), and a plate of crispy honey... read more

We went there for lunch because of the wonderful reviews. Ordered 3 dishes. Pad Thai, shrimp in green sauce, and crispy duck with basil. The shrimp this was very tasty but both the pad thai and the duck was quite bad. Not even average. The service was very slow despite the fact that it was half full. Won't be back.

If you are looking for authentic (not Americanized!) Thai food in the Arlington area, look no further than Thai Square. I've been eating here for years and the food never disappoints. It's just become unjustifiably expensive for a restaurant that's not for fine dining. So I've reduced my visits. Still would recommend it though.

I will start by saying we LOVE Bangkok 54--- but on advice of our new neighbors and the fact it is a 5 minute walk, we checked it out. Very cute on the inside and can handle easily both a couple and a group of 20 (right next to us). We had the highly recommended crispy honey duck--- really flavorful... More

I live over an hour away from That Square, and yet I still make the drive anytime I'm hungry for Thai food. It recently had a bit of a makeover inside, and the look is definitely more modern than before. It's still a wonderful "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant, and in this case, that's meant as a loving complement. The food here is... More

I should probably begin this by saying that Thai is probably not my #1 favorite food. I like it - but what I like is limited. My favorite Thai dish is Drunken Noodles, and I was very disappointed that it wasn't on the menu. I had the Garlic Shrimp, which was good... but that was it. Nothing else came with... More

This restaurant is not about ambiance -- it is about great food that is a cut above the many Thai restaurants in the area. The menu is a little more interesting, the flavors more bold, be adventurous and enjoy a delicious meal.

I have eaten here twice and like the food (although they do not have my favorite Drunken Noodles). Without my old standby, I am forced to be a little more adventurous and have not been disappointed. I am disappointed in the service, however. Some of it I can attribute to language barrier problems -- a draft beer being served in... More

...Almost three months later! I had a somewhat spicy dish whitened with coconut milk--if I weren't out of town right now if make a trip back to this place just find it on the menu (and order it again). In any case I'll be back soon!

Came here with a friend to celebrate. We had a few dishes and they were all good. For appetizers, we had papaya salad (a little on the salty side) and spring rolls. They were delicious. My entree was Chicken Graprow and I really liked it. The Graprow leaves are very aromatic and the whole dish goes very well with rice.... More
