Steak made to perfection

Staff not so attentive but great steak, done to perfection, juicy, sliced like butter. Flavor was really special. Good mashed potatoes and cream spinach. Downside: hard to find a parking spot near. Service needs improvement

We like everything about this restaurant. Good menu, not overwhelming. Great food, especially the steaks. Super service - not just one server but a team of servers met every need. Would go back.

I am from Texas. So we know a good tender steak when we eat one. And Rays the Steaks had the most tender "melt in your mouth" steak that I have ever eaten. I asked for the most tender cut and was definitely surprised. I have not had one that tender, even in Texas. Mid range prices. Worth every dollar... More

I was going to be in the area on a business trip, so I planned ahead and got a reservation for Ray's based on the reviews on here. Arrived to the area in time, but could not find a place to park. I drove around for a while before I noticed a parking garage available, so I parked in there.... More

Ray's is the sort of place where steak lovers gather. It's not the kind of place where you can sit and spend 2-3 hours for a few reasons: they don't have a full bar, there are generally people waiting for your table (some tables you can reserve in advance while others are first come/first served) and after eating generous portions... This is a really good steak restaurant - I'd put it on par, or very very close to Ruth Chris or Morton's but at about two thirds of the price, perhaps because the sides are included. The only downside was trying to find parking around the area, and getting a seat during peak hours.

My wife and I were really looking forward to a special dinner out. Ray's the Steaks has been highly rated since its opening and we had never been there. We were disappointed. Although the steaks were good, they weren't anything special. What was really off-putting was when the waiter asked my wife asked my wife if she would like coffee... More

First of all, the food... The variety of steak cuts and the plethora of way to prepare it, including several sauce selections, make this a favorite of mine. The place is at the higher end of the price spectrum, but more than worth the prices. However, the place is not as expensive as you would think. Have your excellent steak... More

The dining room operates like a well-oiled machine, with multiple waiters seeing to your needs. The steaks are justifiably famous, with two main cuts -- a NY strip and the filet -- offered with varying preparations, such as mushroom sauce, bernaise, au poivre, etc. Our group of three had three different treatments and all were tasty and perfectly prepared. Large, delicious and perfectly cooked steaks. The primary drawback was the limited bar for cocktails and cordials. However the wine list is decent.
