I don't get it. Steaks are good, but the service is weak, there is no bar and no liquor (what "steak house" doesn't offer the perfect pairing to a steak, a freaking martini?), the atmosphere is kind of pathetic (the guy next to us was wearing a Virginia Tech camo hat, and the place looks like it was set up... Better than Morton's or Ruth's Chris. A local 'best of' because it is a personal mission of excellence rather than 'just' a fantastic franchise.

The steaks are some of the best I've ever had. I've been here three times and tried a different one each time. This most recent visit, I tried the Diablo Aged steak. I had no idea, prior to coming to this restaurant for the first time, that aged steaks were a thing people did. Well, Ray's does, and they do... More

We enjoyed steaks cooked perfectly and family style dishes of mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and tender crisp broccoli. The desserts were tasty as well.

Had a great experience here. Food was great as well as the service. Would definitely recommend for fancy night out with family.

I really like this place. I've been twice now. While it reminds me of many of the very high end steak joints I've visited in the past, it has a quaint, small neighborhood feel. The wait staff is fantastic and the food is good too. While it's not the best steak I've ever had, it is quite good. The prices... More

The buzz was that this was a really good steak house, frequented by pols and others. The atmosphere was pleasant, if a bit black and white (they could use some art works or flowers). The steaks were not cheap but were in line with D.C. area costs. There were four of us at dinner. The other three received their orders,... More

We love going here, especially when Elliott was the manager there. The place is always busy because of the food. The steaks are big and cooked perfectly. I always order the scallops but be careful they are a little heavy. But I can't resist them. The spinach side is also tasty. Can't wait to get back here. Better be ready... More

A fairly well-known steak house, the steaks were fine and the salmon was very good. It is, however, very loud and pricy, so if you have a business meeting (which I did) look for somewhere a bit quieter and more private.

Good place to have steaks. Reduced choice of drinks and side orders ("we are a bar, we don't serve juice....?). Every dish goes with spinach an mashed potato....The side orders are fantastic. If you van after the big steak, try key lime pie.....meals are qirth the prive.... Public parking in the garage around the block for 6$… Reservation is recommended....... More
