I would definitely dine here again.

From the fresh warm bread served when sat down to the creamy smooth cheesecake we finished with, this was a very good meal. We went here as a party of five for a celebration dinner on a Friday night with reservations for 7:00 PM. We were seated right away even before all the members of our party arrived. I had... More

It's a neighborhood place but we found it to be just mediocre steak with matching service. While they purport to have a full bar they at first said they couldn't do a simple martini. They ultimately served a vodka rocks in a wine glass. DC is a steak and martini town so we were surprised. We won't go back.

For a significant birthday celebration, with 14 people in attendance, Ray's the Steaks provided us with a large table in a semi-private area that was perfect (since we have several loud-spoken people). We not only enjoyed the service, which was excellent, but also the always-perfectly-done-to-order steaks (and seafood). The wine choices were admirable and tasty, and the ambiance, though loud,... The steak,Caesar salad, and seafood appetizer were excellent. The bread was stale and the service very slow. We were offered a complimentary glass of wine when dinner did arrive which showed realization of the service problem. I think my disappointment was in the ambiance category. Although not meant to be a cozy spot, it felt more like a train station... More

Admittedly we were there on a Saturday night, but this felt like one big move-em-in-move-em-out operation. The manager on the desk was so busy moving customers he was barely polite in simply directing us to the Ladies (and you need directions - it is way in the back of one of the dining rooms). Service was polite but cold and... More

Trip Advisor prompted me for this review and I had almost forgotten what a terrible experience Ray's the Steaks in Arlington was a few months back. Long waits, loud, crowded, push-back service and the worst steak I've had since living on a tight budget eating at a fast food steak house. Everyone seems to continue to rave about the place... Christmas Eve diner with Family. Last minute reservation, very kid friendly without a kids menu. Had one of the best waiter experiences in sometime. Brian B was an exceptional server with an excellent take on the menu, making great suggestions with humor and a good sense of the audience. Bisque was very good, as promised and strip steak one of... The steaks were good but the sides were sub par. The bar had little to offer. Service was ok, not spectacular. The restaurant was small and crowded. I would much rather spend that kind of money at Ruth's Chris or Capital Grille. Not worth a return trip

Saturday night with friends at Ray's was the perfect break for the rainy weekend... Entrecote Diablo was terrific and at a reasonable price for the quality level, perfectly cooked and well seasoned, a real meal deal. The starter blue-cheese wedge was enough for two to share, and the complimentary sides (garlic mashed & creamed spinach) made for a more than... More
