Trip Advisor prompted me for this review and I had almost forgotten what a terrible experience Ray's the Steaks in Arlington was a few months back. Long waits, loud, crowded, push-back service and the worst steak I've had since living on a tight budget eating at a fast food steak house. Everyone seems to continue to rave about the place... Christmas Eve diner with Family. Last minute reservation, very kid friendly without a kids menu. Had one of the best waiter experiences in sometime. Brian B was an exceptional server with an excellent take on the menu, making great suggestions with humor and a good sense of the audience. Bisque was very good, as promised and strip steak one of... The steaks were good but the sides were sub par. The bar had little to offer. Service was ok, not spectacular. The restaurant was small and crowded. I would much rather spend that kind of money at Ruth's Chris or Capital Grille. Not worth a return trip

Saturday night with friends at Ray's was the perfect break for the rainy weekend... Entrecote Diablo was terrific and at a reasonable price for the quality level, perfectly cooked and well seasoned, a real meal deal. The starter blue-cheese wedge was enough for two to share, and the complimentary sides (garlic mashed & creamed spinach) made for a more than... More

For years we read that Ray's serves great stakes at reasonable prices. . We went because I wanted a good steak. For steak-lovers there were no bad choices. The guys seated near us raved about their giant rib steak, I enjoyed sirloin, others liked hangar steak. My wife, chose non-meat, enjoyed broiled salmon-salad. All was well prepared. Salad was big... Ray's simply never disappoints. The quality of the steaks is world class. The wine list is small, but good and the sides of mash potatoes and spinach are almost as good as the steak.

We ate here for the first time this trip and were very impressed. Great steaks as well as great service. All the entrees are served with family style mashed potatoes and spinach and although both were fine, I really, really like a baked potato with my steak. The steak was awesome, however - literally, melted in your mouth. Highly recommend.

Visited on a Friday night with my husband, and waited for a table for about ten minutes. We ordered the new York steak which was very good but I think the rib eye would have been better. That was our mistake!!! Service was okay, found the décor a little poor and the fact that they didn't serve margaritas a bit... More

This was my first time at this steakhouse and it was the best I've ever had. I never had a real steak until I came here. The NY strip steak with the mushroom sauce is to die for! Jeffrey was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He asked if we... More

Ray's the Steaks is a delicious dining experience. From the wines that are modestly priced to the steaks, that are done right, you can't go wrong...except for the service. While I am not happy when I am "ignored" at a restaurant, the same goes when service is "too much". This is not the place to go if you want to... More
