Great food and service

Our steaks were very good and the staff was very helpful in offering to make our youngest a kid-friendly dish. Instead we split a steak between our two youngest kids, but appreciated the effort.

After several excellent and memorable visits to Ray's over the years and after much deserved hype, my wife and I took our son there for his birthday. Not knowing any better, he may have liked the experience. Knowing much better, my wife and I left disappointed and certain we will not be returning any time soon if ever again. Our... More

I've heard Ray's the Steaks termed the "poor man's Morton's" steakhouse. I have to agree. It's Located within a block of the Courthouse Metro stop which makes access easy. I would recommend reservations. The menu has a fine variety of cuts of beef and attention is given to meal preparation. I've always found that the wait-staff is well versed and... More

It's tough for a steak restaurant to live up to expectations, but Ray's definitely does. The restaurant itself feels more casual than a typical steakhouse - a light and well-lit, modern interior rather than the dark wood and leather typical of many steakhouses. Plenty of wines on the menu, although the cocktails were unusually limited considering how popular craft cocktails... More

These people know what they're doing with steaks. I've been there twice and the steaks have never disappointed. I also love the fact that they give you unlimited mashed potatoes with the steaks. That said, however, if you're looking for something other than red meat, then I'd pick a different restaurant.

One goes to Ray's for the Steaks. If you are a Vegan or prefer fish, fowl, or sushi, there are several other fine places in Arlington to visit. If you want a wide selection of the best choices of steaks, Ray's is the place. Any cut you prefer can be found here, and cooked to perfection, literally.

We went to the Ray's the Steaks before taking the Metro to the Verizon Center for a concert. The first waitress we had was horrible. We asked to see the manager and before we were able to talk to the manager we were assigned a new waitress. The meal was good, not great but worth the money There is a... More

I've been here a few years ago and was impressed with the hangar steak and crab bisque. The new location is a so so atmosphere but the food has not failed me yet. The steak was awesome, service was great and the overall quality of our whole table was excellent. Parking is an issue. I recommend this to anyone having... More

Fine dining and for my money the best steaks in the DC metro area. Ray has several places in DC and one up in MD but the consensus is this one is the best. Also, don't confuse it with his more modest burger-plus establishment down the road in VA. Whether for a family outing (we lived just down the street... More
