A colleague of mine recommended Rays and I drove over from Alexandria while on a business trip. Fair to say that my colleague is no longer allowed to recommend steak houses anymore. Fair enough, I live in Dallas so the bar for a good steak is fairly high. The 7 oz ribeye I got was tiny, likely about 4.5 oz... More

I've been here twice. The most recent visit is the subject of this review. We met here for a dinner meeting in a private room. We had some of everything off the appetizer entree and dessert menu. Service is good (not stellar) and the food a bit overrated. A definite fav is the lobster mac and cheese. A few in... More

They have the largest selection of steaks in the area. I really enjoyed my NY Strip Steak with horseradish sauce. The steak melted in my mouth. We also had the onion soup, and lobster mac and cheese which were both great. They give you unlimited mashed potatoes and creamed spinach which was really nice. Most steak places nickel and dime... Stayed in Arlington on business and decided to try Ray's as we were in the mood for a couple of steaks. The restaurant is very close to a Metro stop. We each ordered steaks which were just OK. Service was a little spotty especially trying to get a refill of mashed potatoes which is included in the price of the... More

One of the best steaks I've had in my life; cooked to perfection just as each one of us ordered. I order my steaks well-done and it was well-done yet it was still tender and juicy which is excellent!

The Cote de Bueff was dry aged 60 days and was absolutely delicious. Also of note was the Crab Bisque. Moderate prices for the quality and size you receive. Service was very good.

This isn't just magnificently cooked steak, this is meat of the highest quality and extremely fresh. you're going to leave Ray's very sad because you want to just live there and be fed all day every day. apart from the steaks, you get sides (like the heavenly mashed potatoes) served family style. i think that makes for a nicer friendlier... My daughter and son-in-law wanted to treat me to a great local steak. We checked out the menu online and the prices certainly appeared suspiciously good for a steak house. The word "prime" showed up on several occasions in the description of the place, but never following the acronym U.S.D.A. Hmmmm. Anyway, we showed up for our reservation at the... More

My wife and I loved our time at Ray's. The service was suburb. Very attentive but without disturbing our conversation. We started the meal with devil eggs stuffed with steak tartare. AmazWe both has filet mignon. My wife had has the mushroom glaze and I had the bacon wrapped. Both were cooked as we order and melted in our mouths.... More
