We visited this restaurant for dinner early on a Friday evening. I imagine it gets busier later but there were not too many folks in there at that time. I had Tempura which came with a salad and a soup. My daughter had some sushi which also came with the soup and salad. We also enjoyed their plum wine. The... More

arrived late at night, whole family with 3 kids. Needed food. No real experience of japanese food in a restaurant. Went here and the staff were just so welcoming. We were keen to try and learn. They spent time going through the menu and explained what was what. We made our choices and didn't have to said long for the... More

Our family stopped in here during our trip to Washington. It is tucked away off of the street. We almost walked right by it. The staff is super attentive. The atmosphere is nice. For the price we loved our maki roll dinner. My husband ordered the beef dinner and the taste was great. The only suggestion I could make is... More

This restaurant is okay, but nothing to write home about. One roll purported to have crab, but clearly used crawfish. The chef tried to play it off, but as a former Gulf Coast resident, I know mud bugs.

Best sushi in Arlington PERIOD. If you want quality sushi made in the traditional way by chefs with life long experience, this is the place to go. We have tried several sushi restaurants in Arlington, but this is without a doubt the best. To top it all, the prizes are really reasonable - Siri and Karl

I was in the area for business and decided to try this sushi restaurant based on other reviews here on TripAdvisor. It's true that it's set back a little ways from the road, so I almost walked right by it! Once I entered, I was greeted warmly by staff dressed in kimono and was promptly seated. The chicken katsu I... More

Had a sushi dinner there with family with 2 young children. Very comfortable and the kids loved the boat that was the serving platter for the sushi.

I decided to try and find a Japanese restaurant near my hotel and luckily, I found Kanpai just 4 blocks away. (Note: it is set back off Wilson Blvd., just around the corner from Fort Meyer Dr. so you have to look for it.) After a hearty welcome by the staff, I sat down at the sushi bar and ordered... More

The sushi was cheap and you paid for that in poor quality and taste. The rolls were mediocre at best; the rice was undercooked and the fish tasted old and dry. With poor quality like this I would expect to pay much less. However, the service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is trendy and modern. This is not... More
