When one walks into the Carlyle Grand, everyone speaks immediately about how fantastic the bread is on the table. Friends in from TX immediately made the same request. Best Buns is the greatest acquisition of the Great American franchise!

We ate at Best Buns in the mornings of our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn and were amazed at how delicious everything was!

A very popular breakfast place that had great breads and sandwiches. I had the Willing-No-Ham sandwich (bacon, egg, cheese on toasted Icebox bread) which was out of this world. I even bought 2 of the dog biscuits for $1. each and my dogs ate them up rather quickly. It does get busy with lines of folks on the way to... More

The coffee consistently tastes burnt and the shots are obviously pulled by people who do not know anything about coffee. I recommend turning the corner (40 yds. away) and heading to The Curious Grape - they have much better coffee, service, and atmosphere.

On a beautiful Tuesday morning, Best Buns provided a superb cup of coffee and truly outstanding pastry options to jump start our first day touristing this area of DC. Seating inside expands into the adjacent upscale restaurant until later when that business begins its own lunch service and had it been a bit warmer, there is sidewalk seating. We are... More

Love the breads here- different loaves are baked on different days (I get my brioche here and then freeze it). Their mango chicken salad is a surprisingly tasty non-bakery item. Some outdoor seating, a great place in Shirlington.

I only stopped by here for some breakfast. They serve Starbucks coffee (although I don't think they accept the mobile app or cards, so you'll have to pay with cash or a credit/debit card), and have some great bread like everyone said. My only issue was that they didn't toast the bagel or put the cream cheese on there for... More

We had the egg sandwich. It was sooooo good. I couldn't eat the whole thing. Would definitely go back for a quick breakfast.

The baguettes and croissants are among the best available in the Washington area. Best buns pastries which I have tried are freshly made and tasty. My dog loves the dog biscuits.

My husband and I lived in Europe for a year and came back on the hunt for the best baguette in DC (and America). Best Buns has arguably the best fresh baked bread in the DC area and possibly the best baguette in America. The EPI's are a pull-apart version of the baguette and is equally as good. The cupcakes...
