The Carlyle is near and dear to my wife and my hearts! We both loved this place before we met (it's probably why we are perfect for each other)! I am a big fan of the chicken paillard which is wonderfully done over angel hair pasta and coated with a delicious brown butter sauce. My wife is partial to their... More

Being from Colorado we had never been to a Carlyle before. Our daughter took us last night and it was super nice! We were seated upstairs where it might have been a little quieter than downstairs. The noise, however, is part of the charm for those of us who live in quieter regions of the country. I had a glass... More

We were in the area and stopped in for lunch, as it's been a few years since we've come to this particular GAR restaurant. They did not disappoint!! Just as always, they offered incredible, personable service by smiling staff who were truly happy to have us there. The menu was vast and very nice. We ordered salads and burgers and... More

My husband & I enjoyed dinner while sitting outside on a beautiful spring evening. Our server, Louis, was friendly and informative. We both enjoyed the pecan crusted trout. Tasting as delicious, as it was presented. If ordering wine, I would suggest a bottle, by the glass was very weak.

I dined here with business colleagues, and we were blown away by the menu. I'm told that it changes from time to time, but you should either order to the filet mignon or the crab cakes. Dessert selection is exceptional, too. The area is nice, and somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle of the DC area. You may want... More

Came here for a business meeting. I chose this place because I needed a place in Arlington and based it on the reviews.. the reviews are all true! Friendly staff, well organized and great food! If you're in the area I definitely recommend the Carlyle.

Their food is delicious. I don't usually like seafood, but here it is great. Only con I can think of is it's sometimes hard to get a table, but I suppose that's to be expected.

This is a great restaurant and the food was masterfully prepared. To clarify the layout is nice but with a more friendly style "open" atmosphere so if you are looking for a quiet, dimly lit, romantic dinner, this may not be the place for you. The restaurant is busy and there is a reason for that, the food! To start... More
