Chocolate Chip Cannoli!!

My sister and I went to Café Italia for a light dinner before our theater performance at Ford's Theater. When looking at the wine list, I couldn't decide which red wine to order. This is not a dress up place. The decor is nothing to write home about, but the food, prices and service more than made up for it. There were 10 of us, and they gave us separate checks broken down however you wanted. The food was good and filling. If you are taking a shuttle from your hotel, ask them... More

My husband loves Italian food, so we visited during our vacation in DC. The bread is homemade, tasty and filling. I enjoyed the pizza puttanesca with artichokes, capers and black olives. My husband had the FBI which included: a large meatball, a piece of Italian sausage and lasagna. He pronounced it delicious! Service was experienced, yet friendly.

My wife and I had dinner last night with our daughter and two close friends. My daughter found this restaurant on Open Table, and we were hoping for a nice evening. We were pleasantly surprised. We arrived early and sat at the small bar near the front of the restaurant. The bartender was extremely friendly, and we enjoyed an early... More

I'm not Italian, but spent a lot of time in Italy. This is as close as I've found to Italy in the USA as I can. It's not Olive Garden, Carrabbas, or Maggianos. It's a local Italian restaurant with very good food. If you're staying in Crystal City and like Italian food, give this place a try.

My wife and I were in the mood for a light dinner after a crushing first day in Wash DC . We ordered a basic pizza and salads with a couple glasses of Wine. Everything was fine, the Tuesday atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. The service was attentive. The server brought us some complimentary amaretto to go with our spumoni.... More

This is an adorable little place and I was hoping it would be good food but not at all. I went with my husband and 2 kids and we all got different dishes. I asked for the signature dish, ossobucco and they were out so the waiter recommended a steak dish instead. It was as tough as a shoe and... More

Probably the closest to Italian I have since visiting Italy. The chicken carbonara was amazing as well was the service. Waiter Javier was very courteous. Being a short walk from most of the hotels in the area it is an easy trip. Don't be mistaken by turning left on 23rd of of Eads street. Turn right and jump in you... More

Reunited with a childhood friend (now my boyfriend ) we were walking on the street looking to find a goldmine of a restaurant. 23 street had so many options, but this restaurant caught our eye. It seem small, cozy and with a day before Valentine Day, it was not crowed. This is were the good story ends. The food was... More
