This is not a sit-down restaurant, although there are a few outside tables and chairs overlooking a parking lot for customers who can't wait to get home before diving in. Instead, it is a small deli with extras, and the subs here are our favorite in the DC area. Tons of meats (almost too much), not so much cheese, shredded... More

I grew up with the Italian Store always being around. The sandwiches and pizza are great. They changed their calzones. I'm not fond of the new change, they seem smaller now. Overall the prepared food and the market food are great. Avoid the lunch and dinner rush times as this place can be packed.

I go from time to time just because there isn't much else around (if you are Italian) as a store/deli goes. The pizzas are truly average (nothing authentic about them) and the subs are assembled with basic meats and cheeses you can get anywhere (Boar's Head or whatever) on good rolls. The rolls are the only reason I still go... More

I've only had the subs here. They're tasty enough, but only enough to warrant three stars. Bread is in the tough/chewy side, so if you like that, you're golden.

Convenient, great parking and best Pizza around. Mostly takeout and some groceries and wines Can be very busy at lunchtime, If ordering single slices, skip the lines and go straight to the back for service.

The Italian Store reminds me of growing up in an Italian neighborhood in Philadelphia: the products, sandwiches and lunchmeats look and smell wonderful and taste just as good! There are always a huge selection of frozen pastas, sauces and other foods to bring home and heat up. They have a good selection of nicely priced Italian wines as well. And... More

If you love great Italian food from NY, you will love this place. They have the best sandwiches around. If you stop by to pick something up for lunch go early as the place fills up fast--you take a number and wait on line. In addition to great sandwiches, they have fantastic pizza (NY style) and homemade pasta and sauces.... More

I've been eating here since they opened at 7 Corners and I've never had a better sandwich...EVER. A Milano on a hard roll is my go to and the pizza rocks too. Now, I'm hungry.

I've been a big fan of this establishment since moving to DC seven years ago. I've even used them to cater work meetings. You simply can't go wrong with any of their Italian subs and the pizzas, though pricey, are are top notch--especially the Sicilian. As of late, the lady at the register has had somewhat of a problematic attitude.... More

Upfront I will say I hail from an Italian New York heritage, how familiar and wonderful it always is to buzz into the Italian Store for some simple, delicious food! The subs, the large pizza slices, the plethora of pastas ... they fit a small deli and grocery nicely into the small space! We have been coming here for nearly... More
