This is the real thing - close your eyes, taste the food and you are in France. We often have brunch there and never have been disappointed. Love the decor, ambiance, and service.

High prices for run of the mill food. Attempts at good preparations can't overcome poor inputs. Meat was stringy. Dishes that should have been served hot were cold. Higher prices for wine -- and our first two choices were out of stock. And service suffers to the point of non-existence. Won't be back.

We visited this restaurant with friends when we visited Northern Virginia in June. They chose it because the chef is knowledgeable about gluten free. Our friends are frequent visitors to this cafe, as it is one of their favorites, and we now understand why. Our server was very attentive, and was able to make great suggestions about gluten free entree... More

It's a great place to enjoy terrific food at a reasonable price. The bar is small but a great vantage for people watching and conversation.

My husband and I had dinner here on a recent trip to the DC area. We didn't have reservations but the Cote d'Or was literally in the back of our hotel's parking lot. The staff was very welcoming and very thorough explaining the menus and specials. We sat on the enclosed porch next to a gas fireplace, very cozy! My... More

La Cote D'Or Cafe is a few blocks from the East Falls Church metro stop. The restaurant has cute decor which reminds you of a quaint cafe in France. We ordered the barbecue sandwich special, the Croque Madame and a strawberry tart. The barbecue had a sweet flavor, the Croque was a bit too rich for me and the tart... More

Staying at the nearby hotel, we ate at this restaurant every night. The waitstaff are FANTASTIC, the food is excellent and so are the drinks. I couldn't fault them at all, and would recommend everyone take the time to visit. Note - there is a small cafe in the back for takeaway sandwiches, the restaurant is around the front.
