What a cool laid back atmosphere with a phenomenal menu that will overwhelm you with choices. The restaurant has a lounge feel and the service was great!

In the land of generally mediocre sushi around Ballston, Tara Temple delivers surprisingly fresh and consistent sushi sashimi combos. Drunken noodles: yes!!! Wait times for food, no other customers: 30 minutes Funky smell: why?

Tara Temple serves both Japanese and Thai food. I tried the Thai drunken noodle dish with chicken, which was very good. Too much for one person, however. For dessert in Thai restaurants I always order Mango sticky rice, when mangoes can be found in season. Tara Temple's version was very good-- the mango was soft and sweet and the rice... More

My wife and I had to be in Arlington for business and decided to try Tara Temple because it was close to our hotel. After hours stuck in traffic, it was a satisfying experience. Having our choice of Japanese or Thai, we opted for Thai and started the meal with an order of Spring Rolls that were crispy and tasty.... More

Tara Temple is a great place. They serve Japanese Sushi and Thai. Odd combination but it works. Both cuisines are well prepared and delicious. The restaurant draws a large happy hour crowd...discounted beer and select appetizers. Because of the large crowd, it can get very noisy. Go to happy hour with some friends and enjoy yourself. You'll eat well.

This is a great place to go if you're just looking for a simple Thai meal. Nothing will knock your socks off as far as that side of the menu is concerned, but if you have a craving for drunk noodles at to be delivered at 9 PM, this is your place. The two or three times I have dined... More

Having visited Tara Temple (Tara Thai) for more than a decade, the restaurant continues to offer excellent, diverse and authentic cuisine in a relax, chic environment at very reasonable prices. The restaurant is very convenient to the Metro and a number of major government office buildings. I highly recommend Tara Temple for authentic, excellent Thai dishes. The restaurant is located... A pleasant restaurant with somewhat confused service when confronted with a large group (had trouble keeping track of who ordered what). Food was good though and value was excellent, particularly after ordering the appetizers off of the happy hour menu. Convenient to a bunch of the government agencies and big companies in Ballston.

This is excellent Thai food in a chic setting. I was at first hesitant to try Tara Temple after reading the reviews, but now, I can say that is one of my favorites in Ballston. I high recommend this restaurant. Miso soup, curries, and pad thai are all excellent. If you ask for spicy, you will get spicy!
