Good food, nice place, good service, good value, easy access. I really recomend for those visiting Washington, DC.
Another cold Saturday evening leading to the inevitable search for a warm, cozy restaurant to escape the chill and fill empty stomaches brought us back to Thai in Shrlington. A good-sized restaurant with a large and diverse menu, "The Thai" is a welcoming place with an embracing group of greeters and an attentive waitstaff. Their offerings are typical Thai with... More
Had an exceptional meal here. High quality servers helps too. It was a cold night when we went there - but very warm & pleasant inside. All of our meal was great... Pan Seared Squash Pot-stickers Gren Curry Chicken (yes that's the name) Drunken Seafood Lomein...yummy Room for dessert? Mango sweet sticky rice was fab. Really can't wait to go... More
Though not our first visit, we continue to enjoy this place. The service is good and the food is excellent. Ginger root and broccoli and shrimp PAD Thai is what we had, along with some nice glasses of wine, no wonder that this is an often crowded place.

Service is... More
I've dined here countless times when I used to live very near to the location of this restaurant. Coming back for the 2nd time in the 5 years since we moved to the West Coast, I found that the food is still fabulous, the service is great, and the atmosphere is lovely. I enjoy this place so much, my husband... More
Love the Pad Thai, General Tso Chicken, and the Basil Chicken. Service is always friendly. I usually carry-out from here at least twice a week.
Food in terms of portions and taste is truly just average. The menu is more exciting than the food. All in all it winds up being disappointing experience. Usually, you cannot go wrong with crispy duck at a Thai eatery--even this was below par.

Having lived several years in Thailand, we can vouch for their cuisine being very close to authentic. The larb gai and panang curry were just the right amount of spicy and super tasty. The waiter was... More
