A Reunion lunch post Christmas

After Christmas lunch at Lebanese Taverna was tasty and uncrowded. We had prompt service. Ayran was the drink of choice. Soup, kababs, sandwiches and Lebanese entrees were our choices. We liked the quantity, freshness and combination of flavors. It was pricey for lunch. Taste was good but not one I... read more

This little restaurant is a gem. It has been a long, long time since I took a bite and audibly went, "Ahhhh." When did I forget what taste felt like? We had a lamb entree, and it was perfectly grilled and seasons. The sides.with it were bright and complemented the entree. We also had the Chef's Platter, which can be... More

I only had a few minutes before heading to the airport so I stopped by and was greeted with a friendly smile and ordered some appetizers to go. Really pleased with the service and flavor and hopefully will be back with more time to enjoy more of the menu.

Food was ok, but I would say it was extraordinary. Service was average, no particular efforts. We found it a bit pricey for the quality of food and service provided.

The Chef's Platter "Taste of Lebanon" was incredibly good. All four of us enjoyed every bite; a great bargain at only $14. The hot fresh "balloon" bread was a treat. The entrees (I had the Mediterranean sea bass) were all very tasty. The service was prompt and the atmosphere friendly; on a Saturday night, most of the tables were occupied... More

Our friend took us here for lunch, and we loved both the food and service. The pita bread was fresh, hot, and delicious. The hummus was some of the best I have ever had. Eating outside was a delight. The service was solicitous and could not have been better or friendlier. Homemade lemonade with mint was wonderful. Too bad we... More

I used to like this place a lot. I have a Lebanese friend who told me she thought the food was very authentic and much like her mother made. I give it an Average rating because the last few visits I found the food to be just average after many years of being excellent. I've always had an issue with... More

The food was delicious with the bread warm and wonderful. We had the chefs platter as an appetizer to start along with the Kibbeh Nayeh. The 4 of us selected different entrees and enjoyed them all.

I came in here for lunch to-go one day (right as it opened) to grab my favorite dish - the hummus special (has the ground beef on top). The server brought me the check, I paid ($10), and about 3 minutes later brought my food out. I thought this was kind of fast, but thought, okay, it's just already made... More

We have enjoyed Lebanese Taverna for years. It's a favorite Arlington neighborhood delight in Westover. This visit was terrific - dinner on the porch. We both ordered one of our favorite dishes - ouzi with grape leaves. It was cooked perfectly with a wonderful flavor. Too much for one sitting so about half went home. Service was excellent. Planning to... More
