There are a number of places around the DC area that claim to do Peruvian-style roasted chicken, but none can hold a candle to this place. Though other places offer greater variety of sides and sauces (El Pollo Rico is just coleslaw, rice, or steak fries with two types of sauce), but the flavor of the chicken carries the day... More

I had no clue what Peruvian chicken was before I stopped here. By the time I finished my half regular, fries, and rice, I couldn't have cared either. This has to be perhaps the best roasted chicken that I've ever had. The great flavor is absolutely out of this world. I'm only sorry I found this on the way to... More

Best Peruvian Chicken in Arlington, I have been eating here for years. No matter what the weather, there is always a line at dinner time! Great meal for a bargain deal.

This is a dive place with excellent food. The service is quick, but they almost always have a line so be prepared. You can eat in or take out, but the line is the same.

El Pollo Rico is far from the only Peruvian rotisserie chicken joint in Arlington, but it's definitely the best. Their marinade is a carefully guarded secret, and no wonder! The perfect lunch is a quarter of juicy chicken (white meat for me, please) with sides and an Inca Kola (a South American soft drink that tastes a little like bubble... More

I've been eating at this family-oriented restaurant for 25 years and they've never let me down. Prices are very reasonable - this is why there are so many families in here. But the juicy, tasty chicken is the best in town. Don't expect a menu with table service. And the offerings are limited - side choices are cole slaw, fries... More

Limited menu to chicken, cole slaw, rice and fries...some desserts also. Place is spacious with many tables to sit. Delicious meal and great value.

There are lots of rotisserie chicken places in this part of town, some better than others. This one is good. They serve chicken, fries, rice, and not much else. The chicken is moist and well seasoned. The rice is good, but plain, and the fries are typical steak fries. Prices are in line with the quality of food. They have... More

My wife and I refer to El Pollo Rico's chicken as "crack chicken" because the chicken is addictively good. Mix the mild and hot sauces for the PERFECT sauce. El Pollo Rico only servess chicken, order by the whole, half, or quarter (light or dark), accompanied by fries, rice, and/or cole slaw. A couple of tips: the place gets packed... More

I don't get all the good reviews. The chicken is okay but nothing to rave about. Greasy best describes it. The coleslaw is globby - out of a plastic tub and the rice is so salty you can feel your sodium levels spiking. The service is, yes, fast. Given the rave reviews I expected better.
