The quarter chicken with two sides and two sauces is the way to go. The chicken is seasoned just right and cooked just right. I ended up giving up on the plastic fork and using my hands. Fries and rice were both delicious, too. Can't wait to try the cole slaw and the desserts! And try an Inca Kola, which... More

I am addicted to Pollo Rico. We always carry out, but stop and eat the fries before you hit the road while they're hot. The chicken, roasted on spits, is seasoned just so...

After weeks of noticing the huge lunchtime crowds, my husband and I went to this hole in the wall to try it out. So glad we did. Only grilled chicken (1/4, 1/2 or whole), sides (steak fries, white rice and cole slaw), canned and bottled non-alcoholic drinks and home made Peruvian desserts are on the menu. Super reasonable prices and... More

There are not too many options here -- a full chicken, a half chicken, or a quarter chicken -- but every bite of their perfectly seasoned Peruvian chicken is delicious. Better than any chicken I had in Peru. The lines can be long in prime periods, but it's worth the wait.

Third trip to Arlington and eat at El Pollo Rico every time. The food is consistently fantastic and is likely the most moist and tasty Peruvian style chicken I have had. Service is typically fast and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

El Pollo Rico Twenty-six years I have been eating at El Pollo Rico near Clarendon in Arlington, VA. What changed? Hardly anything. They relocated and the price increased. The rotisserie chicken, French fries, and coleslaw have never changed in taste, texture, smell, and size. The cost however did change over my 26 years of eating the best Peruvian chicken in... More

El Pollo Rico serves the best roast chicken I’ve ever had – anywhere, at any price. It’s easy to see why the recipe for this charcoal-broiled rotisserie masterpiece should be a closely held secret. What I don’t understand is why the food in this place is not more expensive. With tax and tip, a quarter-chicken with sides and sauces and... More

We visited Peru about a year ago and have been wondering about Peruvian food especially the roasted chicken until we found this place. the menu is simple but the food is wonderful. They serve the roasted chicken with two types of sauces. Both are good. ONe of the most tender and juiciest chicken I have ever had. We went there... More
