Great pizza, but expensive

Pete's New Haven next to the Clarendon metro couldn't be in a better location. I have tried 5 different fresh pies and all are delicious. The salad with the fried goat cheese is absolutely incredible! The establishment is very basic and modern, it's not very cozy or rustic considering. To be... read more

Visited Pete's with a newly purchased Groupon, guess that was the signal to serve us a $26 large pizza that had about $0.75 worth of toppings. My wife had soup and salad; tasted very good she said, I've never seen such small portions served personally. Back to the pizza, for good measure they made it so hot and the crust... More

I really wish there was a slot between "average" and "very good." This place is definitely above average, but ultimately it's pizza doing it's good pizza thing. I got a take-out pizza from here in the middle of the week. I placed my order over the phone and the pizza was ready within 15 minutes. Meatballs, roasted whole garlic, and... More

The food is just OK, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I was with a party of 15 people so I wanted everyone in my party to sit together. When I tried to get a table together the manager was quite rude, telling me I could not pick the table I wanted and rather the wait... More

Fresh, delicious thin crust pizza! They have a diverse and unique menu as well as a "make your own" option. Options abound for meat-lovers, gluten free, vegetarian and even animal free vegans; where else can you get this range of diversity in the same pizza place? Also, as a pizza local the atmosphere is casual but clean; families, young couples,... More

We went on a week night. It wasn't busy. You order at the counter. They assign you to a table. Prices are decent. We sampled several small pieces and enjoyed the Merritt Park the best. We've had better pizza and we've also had worse.

From the moment we walked in the door, on Christmas Eve we were greeted with rude attitude that almost bordered on contempt. If they did not wish to be there, and working, on Christmas Eve, they should have closed. The pizza was moderately priced, until you decided to add $3.00 (each) toppings. We were very hungry so finishing the pizza... More

There are a lot of opinions about pizza. I like Pete's, although it is not my absolute favorite. The pizza has a thin, crisp crust - more well done, than warm and soft. They have a lot of interesting toppings. Our favorite is the Boola Boola - sliced meatballs, onions and peppers. We get slices of cheese for our kids... More

The salads are great and the pizza is good also. I had the egg plant parm and it was over done. Actually burnt on the edges. I would stick with pizza and a salad. Would be best for lunch. Too many great restaurants in the area do dinner here.

This pizza tastes best if you are starving, have a drink in your hand, sitting on the streetside patio, and listening to music night. Pizza is not dripping greasy. Some reviewers say it's too dry. I didn't notice since I was swilling inbetween gobbled bites. I'll come back. Reviewing reviews, apparently there is wide range of opinion and tastes in... More
