The service is very nice and competent. Drinks are ok. Waiter always attentive. He will get involved in your conversations, making you feel at home, without ever being intrusive. Very civilized crowd; easy to make acquaintances. Only but is the decoration, which is a bit impersonal.

We were two couples who came in on a rainy cold night and we were all very satisfied with our dinners and service. The restaurant has a European patina and it was nice to be able to order Bitburger beer. I appreciated the opportunity to taste the wine before ordering a glass. I initially tried the Grenache blend but preferred... More

My goodness, it's hard to say unflattering things about people who try to hard to please. I ordered the roasted olives to share with the table - the best thing I ate that night. After that, a side salad, followed by the filet with bearnaise on potatoes gratin with asparagus on the side. The filet was ordered medium and came... More

Some things here are spectacular and some are just average. Brunch tends to be very good. The heavy German dishes are good to great when you are in the mood for some pretty authentic German food. The cheeses cheeses and charcuterie are great. Really good sauerkraut, even if you don't like sauerkraut. Steaks are only OK. Service while generally good,... More

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at Lyon Hall - great selections, from lighter fare to omelets to the aptly named bohemian breakfast. Our server treated us to the wonderful 4-donut appetizer, and it was a delightful start. Highly recommended, and the crowds gathering as we were leaving seemed to validate our decision.

My partner and I met another couple for brunch and it was absolutely fantastic. The appetizer donuts were so-so and the only reason I did not rate as a 5. Everything else was perfect. Yes, it's a little noisy, but happy noisy. The wait staff was excellent. The ham and salmon benedicts were incredible. And the diner having the sausage... More

I visited this place for brunch one Saturday and it was just okay nothing spectacular. My friend practically begged me to go there after raving about how good it was, but I was not impressed. The service was great but the food was average. I ordered the steak and eggs, everything was cooked to my satisfaction but I guess I... More

As regulars, we find that they have excellent service. The wait staff get extensive training and can answer questions about the wine list and details on the food and how it is served. They remember the regulars and our favorite drinks and other preferences. I highly recommend the trout and the lobster agnolotti when it is available. My daughter loves... More

I ate here the other night with a friend, and have come periodically over the past four years. While catering to more of a single crowd looking for a bar/meal, it does take care of those who want to sit and enjoy a good dinner as well. Rarely are there missteps on the menu, and they have an extensive wine... More

Went to Lyon Hall for dinner with family of four and the food was very good. The charcuterie and the cheese selections were phenomenal. A lot of details go into charcuterie and cheese plates that we ordered. For example, in addition to the meats, cheeses, and trout, there were condiments (e.g., glazed almonds, marmalade, mustard, etc.) which made the meats... More
