I've actually eaten at Matsutake several times, but had never rated it previously. It is a great place to eat if you're at the airport and have a hour available before your flight. It is just outside of the American Airlines security gate, so you have to make time to make your flight. Having said that, the restaurant understands there... More

In a lunch for two, we began by sharing the tasty Takosu (octopus and cucumber salad) and the (more average) edamame (by the way, the flavorful green tea was a great match for the appetizers). We followed with the Sashimi Regular, a chef's selection of the freshest choices. The portions were huge, and the (virtually) slabs of fish were outstanding.... More

While they do have a complete sushi bar, they also have a full menu of classic Japanese dishes. I had the hibachi shrimp which was excellent.

Very good experience. Very friendly and efficient staff and really great food. I have to confess that I went only for sashimi but it was first class. Excellent quality and fairly sized portions. Great Uni (California - I was told). Highly recommended

Miso soup was tasty and the spicy combo rolls were worth a try (a little dry but still very tasty). I love the fact that it was in the airport! I'll definitely come back.

I don't usually get sushi in airports. I've had it in Tokyo, but I'd expect that to be at least passable. But in Washington, DC? Scary thought, isn't it? However, when your low sushi warning light comes on, and you simply must have some nigirizushi or sashimi to tide you over, you'll sometimes do things you wouldn't ordinarily consider. Think... I usually give 3 ★s to all airport food joints due not only to inferior quality when compared to their city cointerparts, but also due to higher prices and smaller portions. I know they are confined by airport's small quarters and higher rental prices, but frankly I don't care. With that in mind, I was very pleasantly surprised by Matsutake's... More

Matsutake Sushi is a Korean-operated sushi restaurant in the main concourse of Terminal B at Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. I had lunch sitting at the bar. The sushi is very fresh and very well prepared. Much better than average quality. The selection of cold sake is good. This is a very good airport restaurant. Note that it... More
