Not a fine dining experience, probably better for parties and drinking at the bar

Three couples drove into Arlington from outside the beltway to enjoy what we thought would be an upscale tapas meal at La Tasca. We became increasingly frustrated throughout the meal, and completely irritated at the end when our bill had a 20% service charge already added on top of the food and tax. A couple of weeks ago, I met up with a group of friends at Clarendon La Tasca. For twenty bucks, everyone got to pick 3 Tapas and then was able to order sangria/mimosa/bloody mary's for 2 bucks each. The food was all delicious and the drinks were great as well. The steak and paella dishes were the best. The service... More

Tapas is one of my favorite ways to eat a meal. You get to try lots of flavors without feeling like you are overeating. My husband and I ate here with a friend for dinner on a Tuesday. We went early (6 PM) and the place was not busy at all. We were seated immediately and promptly greeted by our... More

We had a reservation for dinner but go there earlier and decided to try out the happy hour. It's fantastic. The cadillac sangrias are to die for (choose the blanca)! They are only $6 and you can get a pitcher for $22 (regularly $35). Do it. The food is fantastic and only $4 a plate. This price increases pretty significantly... More

The restaurant is noisy but the menu is good. It has small plates. The portion size is really for one person and need to order several plates to satiate your hunger. Each plates are slightly expensive. Total cost for three people came to $130.00. We ordered fried plantains, Salmon, Duck and toast with topping. The desserts were very good. We... More

My boss and I ate here for lunch during Restaurant Week (deal was 3 tapas for $20 for lunch). We ordered beef empanadas, bacon-wrapped scallops and shrimp, paella mixta and a spicy shrimp dish. The food was excellent and the service was prompt and polite even though we were clearly the first customers of the day. The waiter was very... More

We were visiting my daughter, who lives in Rosslyn. We had reservations for Christmas Eve. Not only was the food and the selection a treat, but the service was as well. If it was this good on a night when many of the staff wanted to be somewhere else, then we will definitely come back on our next visit! The... More

We had a party of 10 people for a birthday celebration at La Tasca and we were very pleased with the restaurant. The food was excellent, loved the atmosphere and the service. It's a bit pricey but worth it.

This was our first time at this restaurant. It has good variety of menu. We ordered two kind of breads: one with Salmon and another with tomato and olive oil. Both were very good. From entrée we ordered crab cakes (very good), duck with lentils (good), and fried plantains with hot pepper sauce (very good). For dessert we ordered flan... More
