Ray Landrum is a beef perfectionist and I'm so happy to live near his restaurants. His food quality and prices have been unbeatable since he opened his first place many years ago and continue to shine. Five Guys, BGR, Steak and Shake, Shake Shack, and many others try but don't even come close to the quality of meat (burger, sliced... More

One week you have a waiter (always wonderful), the next week you don't. Owner loves to switch things up and around. But the burgers and the chili never change -- always really fabulous and reasonable price. Casual, upbeat atmosphere, never too noisy. Every Sunday nite, I am there.

If you dare order the artery clogging marrow bone you will not be disappointed. It is quite large and filled with the unctuous marrow. The burger almost becomes an afterthought even though it was very good

I'm not sure if this was just built up in my mind from all the great reviews from everyone else but once I actually experienced this place for myself I was slightly disappointed. Average burger and average service. Nothing to complain about but nothing to write home about either.

We came to DC for the Labor Day weekend. Our friends took us to Ray's. Excellent Steak Sandwich! Highly recommend this place. Split a sandwich, order the tots and homemade onion rings. Save room to split a shake! Yummy!

We had delicious hamburgers tonight-6oz or 10 oz! You can add many toppings of your own choice or pick some they've combined into their specials! Yummy shakes! Very good sweet potato fries!! A place to revisit for sure.

I've been a fan of the establishment since the original location. It's still worth going to and having one of their regular or alcohol-enhanced shakes. The burgers are excellent and worth the wait. I recommend going here for a good burger and shake combo if you are in the area.

Great burgers and shake! Also the onion fries and french fries were very tasty. I thought that it was quite overpriced, and our family of 5 (2 of them ordering kids' meals) spent $80 (including tip) on hamburgers and shakes (we didn't have alcohol). I don't think it was worth the price.

I have been going to this place at least twice a year since when it was the smaller version of Ray's Hell Burger across the street. Even thought the location is different, the food has not changed. Still hands down the best burgers around combined with the sweet potato fries and the 7cheese mac-n-cheese and you have a winner! Better... More

My husband suggested we eat at Ray's after he'd been there on a business trip. Best burger I've ever had!!!! Great service and friendly staff. My husband and father ordered the big punisher and both loved it. If my dad says it's hot that means HOT! I had a little devil with lettuce, tomato, and grilled onion with roasted garlic.... More
