I live in the area and enjoyed Rays Hell Burgers for years. Burgers are fresh and generous portions.
I agree with some other reviewers that have said that the burgers at Ray's are good . . . just not great. With a place that "specializes" in burgers, the expectations are set pretty high. I ordered a burger with cheese and it arrived with two slices of cheese that were placed on it at the very last minute .... More
We found this place via Trip Advisor and we are so glad that we did! Our family of five had different burgers, cheesesteaks, along with sweet potato fries, Mac & cheese and tater tots. The cheesesteaks were sirloin, and tasted so fresh! I had the Big Poppa burger(available in two sizes). It was crusted with an amazing seasoning and covered... More
Ray's to the Third was a few blocks away from the Marriott we were staying.. Decided to try it due to the good reviews/accessibility from our hotel.. Being a Friday night around 6:30 we have about a 15-20 wait, which was to be expected.. Once we got seated we were greeted by our waiter.. He was very friendly and politely... More
Small burger was nothing special. Roll was too small for burger and had to eat with knife and fork. Fries requested well done were cold and under cooked. Replacements were better but not as good as Five Guys. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.
Tried the burger for the first time and love the juicy burger. Simply the best burger I have tried. Price is okay, service and ambience are acceptable. Don't forget to try the milk shake. I'm not a milk-shake fan but once I tried at the Ray's then I feel like having more and more. Highly recommended!
I've saw video on Youtube when B. Obama and D. Medvedev (who was a Russian president that time) suddenly stopped their cartages and Obama offered Medvedev to try a real American hamburger. Guess what place Obama stopped at? Correct. That was Ray's Hell-Burger place. So when I was in Arlington I’ve decided to visit this place. And I was amazed... More
I have been several times since they moved across Wilson Blvd as I live in the area. The burgers are fine but amazing they are not! Further, the service is horrible and the ambiance is non existent. I had a friend in town that wanted to experience the burger and we went last night. The main dining room was very... More
Ray's Hellburger has moved across the street from the hole in the wall where Obama ate with the priest of France, a big step up. There is still a walk-up counter with limited seating but they've added a second side with table service. Burgers come in two sizes and a variety of preparations and sides. The meat itself must come... More
This has been my favorite burger since I first went there four or five years ago. I was there last in November 2013 and the burger was really good, but not quite as good as I remember. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this??? We had the burger to go, in a bag, as that's how they serve it... More
