Not a Wow!

Love a good burger, these were ok and pricey for burger. Should have tried a shake, they look good. Fries mediocre. Overrated

I had the big poppa. Should have had just a regular cheese burger to really enjoy the burger itself. Someone had told us the mac and cheese was awesome but I thought it was okay. The fries were better.

Didn't like it much; the food wasn't horrible but it wasn't good either. I've had better burgers in many, many other places.

When this place started off as Rays Hell Burger across the street from its current location it was off the charts. Big juicy burgers with freshly ground beef and innovative fresh toppings -- couldn't be beat! There was a line out the door! Then it expanded into Ray's to the Third and moved across the street. Added items like fried... More

Had wanted to eat at this place since I saw the news story some years ago of the President and VP chowing down here. Not sure this is the original, but pretty sure it is under the same ownership. For the good, burgers were very good. I had mine cajun style and was excellent. I got mine with the swiss... More

We always enjoyed eating at Ray's at the old location, and it was always jammed. We should have realized there was a problem, upon walking into the Wilson St. Restaurant, and seeing no one in line to order and an almost empty restaurant. The 3 hamburgers were ordered medium well were delivered to the table medium rare to raw. We... More

Went to see what the hell its all about...great burgers..service could be improved tho...but food was what we came here for so no fuss...not much to say about the interior except for what's in the burger... toppings were fine as expected, and fries were tasty...if you plan a trip here, which is recommended, have it to-go...

My husband chose this restaurant to go for his birthday celebration with the family. I went with high hopes since the restaurant got a lot of excellent and good reviews on Trip Advisor. I was disappointed. By the time I was done with my meal, I confirmed that all the negatives posted here about the restaurant were true. Parking is... More

Great burgers and I've always liked taking visitors, even to the old location, as its kinda a DC thing. Went with a friend when I moved back here a few weeks ago. I was pretty stoked to see the new place. Burger was great but there wasn't any heat in the dining area, so that sucked, having to keep our... More

Your enjoyment at Ray's depends entirely on your expectations. The meat at Ray's and the various specialty burgers (including bison) are at the top of their game. Tasty fries are a close second. They seem a little pricey on the bottled (20 oz) sodas and have lost any "wow" factor by serving the lonely burger on a platter-sized plate. Things... More
