Stayed at the Westin on Glebe, and this was just around the corner on the backside courtyard. Interesting setup wherein you can shop for a bottle of wine in the restaurant, pay retail for the wine, and have it served at dinner for a modest uncorking fee. Opted for the butternut squash soup as an appetizer. As good as it... More

At a recent conference, our group went to Grand Cru. I was expecting a decent meal at the usual inflated DC prices, but I was surprised. Grand Cru had well prepared, creative food offerings at reasonable prices with friendly attentive service with none of pretentiousness often found in good DC restaurants. They offer tapas along with entrees and a unique... More

We enjoyed our dinner here- each of us had some thing different, starting with mussels, cheese and meat trays and beet salad-all very good. Our entrees were salmon, butterfish and shrimp, and lamb shank. Good house wine are affordable price and plenty of food! We'd eat here again!

I've eaten here on several occasions throughout the year. Each visit was superb. Weather permitting you should sit outside to enjoy the city sounds, people watching, and the nearby fountain. The service has always been excellent; friendly and quick staff. Chances are, if you're coming here it's for the wine. That being said, don't overlook the food menu! Surprisingly this... More

Had dinner and a flight of wine. Not cheap, but the food was good and the wine was okay. The outdoor eating area is especially nice and it is convenient to a number of hotels.

I dined alone for dinner while on business. Staff were very attentive....flight of reds was awesome. I enjoyed the beet salad, gnocchi and crab cakes. All very tasty and reasonable priced. Total bill with my wine flight and tip was $60. Quaint and quiet. Would be good for business or romance! Loved the experience. I would have bought wine for... More

I have only been for lunch and they have a lunch special called the Executive Lunch where you can get different combinations of entry, salad and soup. Great outdoor patio if the weather is good. They also have some excellent wine flights if you really want to experience a Friday executive lunch and start the weekend early.

Great food, great wine, great atmosphere except for the fact that we missed the tour of DC we had planned for 2 hours after our dinner reservation. 90 minutes from reservation to entrée being served. Service was slow and lackadaisical, even after telling the server we were on a schedule. I know there's an appeal to slow food but this... More

Once you find the place, you won't be disappointed. Yes, it is tucked away and a little bit hidden with no easy parking access. But is worth the "trouble". The evening was very nice so we stayed on the attractive patio. Great wine selection to choose from and the low corking fee makes it even more attractive. The food selection... More
