Small place, yummy sushi

Great location, walking distance from King St. Very good sushi, they have good lunch combinations available that include soup and salad. The place is very small and cozy. Domestic beer is a bit overpriced ($8) and teas is $3.50. Only comment was that we were literally kicked us out because at... read more

We had lunch and Momo and ordered avocado, vege, crispy deep fried string beans and okra (without eel sauce) rolls and the vege tempura. For appetizers we had the vegetarian gyoza. The sushi rolls were fantastic but the vege tempura was so-so, not as crispy as I would have liked it. The restaurant was quite small with a pretty steep... More

Sometimes I drive 2.5 hrs to Alexandria, "visiting family" but really it's for Momo's. Yes you can expect a wait during peak hours but it is worth every minute.

The best sushi place in Old Town Alexandria. Its a small place so easily gets overwhelmed...I usually do take out. Staff is friendly and efficient. The sushi chefs work extremely fast but do struggle sometimes with keeping up. BUT the prices are very good and sushi very fresh.

Had lunch there yesterday. It was excellent. I recommend sitting on the 2nd floor during winter and first floor during summer... Heat rises... Sushi was really great, fresh, big portions and staff friendly. Had tea, salad and soup. Very much enjoyed this meal:)

While the food itself was fine the customer service was literally atrocious. I have never gotten kicked out of a restaurant for taking too long before but the owner came over and said there were people waiting outside in the cold for our table and we are still sitting there. So we said no problem we will never come back.... More

This is a really good sushi bar and a great neighborhood restaurant. I've been here about 15-20 times, mostly take-out, and the food is always prepared quickly and the service is great. Is it the very best sushi I've ever had? No. But it's very good for the DC area and the prices (I think) are reasonable. The restaurant is... More

We have eaten here twice already. Food is great and the chefs are fantastic. The spring rolls are delicious and the beef is divine. Someone in our group ordered octapus and they loved it.

Amazing service and great blue fin toro. We ordered the unfiltered momokawa sake and were very happy with it. They don't have a gluten free menu but the manager, Kay,came over and made modification notes to our order to insure that it would be gluten free. They also have gf soy sauce. Our favorites for the eve were the blue... More

I love Japanese food and I used to live in Japan for long time, so I am very specific with sushi. Momo Sushi & Cafe is just average Japanese restaurant, and the sushi is over price. The chef cut the fish to thick make the Chirashi sushi didn't taste that good, but they do have fresh fish. We ordered Chirashi... More
