A little hole in the wall restaurant with good Italian and Greek specialties. Try the Bronzini (white mediterranean fish) in olive oil, garlic and lemon sauce, or the steamed artichoke in garlic and olive oil. Good shrimp dishes, chicken, shish kabob and other favorites.

I have had better food on an airplane, in coach. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The tzatsiki was very average. Even the pita was old and dry. The Vasos "special" dressing was very ordinary. Have they sent the "good chef" to the new place on King Street?

Vaso's is located just a few blocks from my home, located in the "historic" Dixie Pig. We don't frequent it as mch as we should, but Vaso's is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner. The food is great. And, the staff, very attentive. Limited beer and wine list but you'll be fine. The only problem relates to Vaso's success:... More

We dined at Vaso's Kitchen after reading numerous reviews. It was very close to our hotel and we walked in at 7:30pm without reservations and were lucky to be shown a fine table. Within a few minutes every table was full. The service was helpful and descriptive of the food and wines. We ordered the fish special and a Greek... More

Went on a Wednesday night and a Saturday night. In terms of food, our experiences were just about identical. Food was absolutely marvelous! On Wednesday night, the restaurant was quite a bit slower and the ambience was better as a result (Saturday night the voices were booming off the walls and made it tough to hear). Service was great both... More

Based on the reviews in trip advisor, we decided to try Vaso's Kitchen (not to be confused with the Vaso's on King St). It was a good choice. We made reservations, and were seated promptly on arrival. I'd recommend reservations as the place is pretty small, and filled up while we were there. Service was prompt and attentive throughout. We... More

I'm local and can't get enough of Vaso's. Ask for the whole artichoke fiorentina-- they only make so many each day -- it makes the whole trip worth it. The caprese is fantastic with added white beans making it interesting. I love the eggplant parmigiana, white vegetarian pizza, and chicken souvlaki. There are some good reviews already about the physical... More

That said I didn't love this restaurant. Calamari was very tasty and spanankopita & greek shrimp were good. But overall the food was heavy and salty. It was also not a bargain. We had four entrees, 1 glass wine and 2 appetizers and it was over 100 dollars

A friend and I had lunch here today. First time for both of us. We came here after looking the restaurant's number one rating in Alexandria, VA in Tripadvisor. The façade is not imposing and the inside is not in any way posh. But the food and service were both superb. The two of us had fish dishes both of... More

I feel a little like I'm bringing coal to Newcastle by adding yet another great review; however, Vaso's Kitchen merits the attention. In addition to a varied and excellent menu and reasonably priced wine list, the level of service and overall attentiveness (to include by the owner) was "above and beyond." Old Town lost a very good restaurant with the... More
