On a visit to Alexandria to see our son, my wife and I wanted to take himout for an especially nice dinner when he finished work last Friday evening. We researched the restaurants in Alexandria on Trip Adviser and selected Vaso's Kitchen on the basis of the excellent reviews it had received. What a disappointment. The restaurant is not inexpensive... More

My wife and I took my daughter to Vaso's for her birthday dinner. After the mixed appetizer, my daughter had this lamb chops, I had this braised lamb shank and my wife had a steak salad. It was all sublime. This was the second time we've eaten there and it was great both times.

We went on a Saturday night without reservations and were lucky to get a table. The restaurant is small but has outside seating. The menu is Greek and Italian. I had chicken piccata which was light and lemony. The house salad was a better quality than you normally get. My husband had flounder and couldn't stop eating even when full.... More

What a little hidden gem off the beaten path. Service and food were both excellent. Tables are close together but it didn't cause a problem for us. Large portions of food and the waiter was always quick to refill our glasses. Everyone sitting near us was also commenting on how good the food was. I highly recommend it. Don't be... More

Interesting people watching, food is fine but not particularly remarkable, good service. I would recommend this because of the neighborhood ambiance.

Excellent service. Fantastic food. You can't go wrong. The Greek style shrimp dish was great. My husband had the veal special and loved it. The waiter was charming and gave great recommendations. The outside says Dixie Pig, and as a non meat ester, I had never been. Thanks to TA reviews we gave it a try. Loved it.

Had one of the best spaghetti carbonara dishes ever in this tiny little gem in the former (local landmark) Dixie Pig building. A really chic little spot with exceptional food, well known to locals. Recommend.

A friend suggested this location for lunch a short 5 minutes drive from our meeting. We are glad she did as we had never heard of this interesting Greek restaurant. A very small place - with seating outside, but with the humidity (not unusual this time of year) we opted for inside. We had salads (mine the Greek - which... More

Based on other reviews in TripAdvisor, I had high expections for Vaso's kitchen. Unfortunately, the night we were there, the food was so-so. Fish was over cooked and the service was inattentive. We ordered a bottle of wine, but were brought two glasses instead. We pointed this out and were then brought a bottle. We were charged for both the... More
