I've been going here for years. Love the chocolate custard. I really love the almond tuilles. Cool vibe. Can't wait to go back.

The day we visited there were two flavors of ice cream. There are sundaes on the menu but they were pretty pricey.

Located in a cute neighborhood in Alexandria, which was within walking distance from our hotel on King Street. There was an Arts and Crafts Festival, and it was hot and crowded outside, so we went into this oasis. I was amazed how quickly we were served despite the lines of folks snaking around toward the back. My husband and I... More

I stick to the basics, especially when judging a place to begin with, and the vanilla custard is absolutely the best I have ever had. If the special is something that appeals to you, then go for it, but otherwise you can't go wrong with vanilla or one of the sundaes made with it.

I would say this is your average custard parlor. If you live in the area, it's the perfect walk for a sweat treat with family, but I think the custard is only average.

Great custard. Chocolate and vanilla standard, also have flavor of the day (see their website calendar). Standouts: Mozambique, mint Oreo and pumpkin. Sorbets are excellent! Great little neighborhood spot - doggy 'custard' too!

Average custard in an OK building (such a cute name they could do so much)Rather difficult to find. Good custard, but definitely NOT worth searching for this place. The caramel Heath custard was tasty....way over rated!

Dairy Godmother is a frozen treat shop in Del Rey. They have a daily treat to add interest. I had a blueberry/blackberry cobbler with a scoop of peach custard. Wow! Seems like an organic sort of place.

We went out of our way to search for this establishment after reading all the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. We were surprised at the limited flavors available and small portions. The custard was good but not sure what all the raving is about.

Well, I have not tasted every single ice cream option within 500 miles, but this is the best stuff outside of Mass or Wisconsin you will get. It is certainly the best thing inside the beltway. We drive from upper NW DC all the time, just for a cone...
