Great Food.

Great Food! I wish that was all that was necessary for an informative review. Unfortunately not. The fish and chips at Eamonn's is great. (I do wish they were a little more generous with the sauces.) This place is in a great location, but that's about all going for it. The fish and chips were greasy, and that's really all they have to choose from. Not a fan. Won't be back.

First....the food was awesome and we would come back...love the atmosphere...feels traditional. Just not sure if we screwed up or if the owners don't make it clear. Didn't realize that it really was a chip shop and barely an eat in place...guess I expected a pub. 10 min wait and finally got a seat....only a few seats and tables .... More

Does greasy, bright white and crispy battered fish really get any better than this. I love it here. I would go more if this food didn't set me up for having to buy new pants. Each piece is fried to perfection. The seating area is pretty small, but worth poking around for a seat. The staff isn't the nicest, but... More

Good battered cod but great curry chips. Do yourself a favor and spring for the curry fries, you won't be disappointed. Great small place with communal seating fostering conversation with fellow travelers. Great location as well.

The family and I set out in October from Brussels Belgium with a hit list of eateries that we were going to enjoy during our month long return to Northern Virginia after living abroad for the last three years. If you have ever been to Belgium two things are evident from the get go...the weather is grey and so is... More

Fish 'n chips anyone? The best of the genre right here, especially when Grouper is the special. The only problem is that there is hardly any room, and you have to be lucky to find a place to sit. It can't make up its mind whether it is a take-out or a restaurant. But once you load up on the... More

The cod and chips are so good that this is where I asked my husband to take me for our fifth wedding anniversary dinner. We have been here numerous times, and every time the cod is perfectly fried and never greasy. The chips can be ordered regular or curry -- one large is more than enough for two hungry people.... Met my son for lunch here. It's a long, narrow restaurant with the food selections posted on the wall behind the counter. You order your food there, then sit at a table. All the selections are deep fried -- cod, catfish, and prawns to name a few. And fries (chips) as well. There are a number of dipping sauces to... More

First - Eamonn's is a joint. It is a fish and chips joint. All they do is fish and chips, and they do the best fish and chips I've eaten. Like the other reviewers I've had eaten more fish and chips in the UK than I can remember, but these are the best. Best batter, best cod, and last but... More
