Traditional "NY-Style" Italian Food

First, I'd like to recommend the minestrone. It's an amazing soup laden with chicken and vegetables, and if you go to Savio's you should definitely try it. As for the restaurant itself, it has an old-style Italian restaurant vibe, with lots of reds and "old country" art. Seating is... read more

My family and I have been dining at Savios's for a generation. It has been so much a part of our life that it is not unlike having the proverbial Sunday dinner at Grandma's. And since I am now Grandma, it's even better because I don't have to cook. The food is delicious, and the staff every bit as wonderful... More

A largely empty restaurant with attempt at good food. The panzarotti is a great appetizer, the pizzas are good as are the sandwiches.

2 in our group ordered the spicy lamb dish. It came as a large portion of spicy lamb ragout without any pasta or vegetables. My veal dish was tasty but the fourth entree was strange. Gnocchi with meat and then with cured salmon on top.

Other reviews have been very good for this strip mall restaurant, so I was disappointed in the lack of flavor. My mushrooms stuffed with snails was billed as in a garlic sauce, but there was relatively little flavor in them other than straight-forward mushrooms, and definitely little garlic. The Linguini Agnello, a house specialty, was billed as marinated in garlic,... More

We had our company holiday dinner here and it was quite good. The food was set up buffet style and we had a cocktail hour. The food was incredibly good. The buffet included 3-4 kinds of salad, ravioli, Chicken Marsala, pasta penne, a potato dish, and several other options. The food was very good and we will be visiting again... More

We've dined at Savios several times over the last two years and it is truly one of our favorites. Although the strip mall location is not inspiring, the restaurant has a very nice ambiance inside and features some of the most authentic Italian food in the area. The gorgonzola bread is absolutely addictive and you can never go wrong with... More

We love Savios. It was our neighborhood restaurant we went to probably once a week. Food is always great, good value, decent wine list, wonderful staff. We have moved to another part of town but brought our family there recently and everyone had a great meal and a great time. One of the best things is the food always arrives... More

Had to wait a long time for our waitress; I actually got up and went to the bar and asked if we had a waitress. She came and said she didn't know we were there. Since she had walked past us several times, that is hard to believe. The manager came over and apologized telling us our food would be... More

We arrived at 6:15 on a Saturday night. There were 4 people at the bar and only 2 couples at 2 tables. After 5 minutes a surly girl brought us water. We sat for 10 more minutes and no one came to greet us, take a drink order, nothing. The wait staff sat in the back of the room chatting... More
