We have been going to Savio's for 3-4 years already. I should have written this review before, but now is the best time. I have savored their crunchy fresh-from-the-oven bread; their great old fashioned Minestrone; their well cooked pastas; their veal (in several dishes) just outstanding; and the lovely desserts. Decorated as a cute Italian Trattoria this place is a... More

This is in a strip mall, but don't let appearances fool you. They have excellent food here. I think of pasta or pizza when I think Italian. That doesn't get me excited. But Savios goes beyond pasta. I had the sea bass and it was excellent. My husband got the lasagna and it was a bit burned. My granddaughters and... More

We were staying overnight in Alexandria and gave this place a try. We were not sure what to expect but were blown away by the food. It's in a little strip mall, but the food was excellent, and not too pricey.

We celebrated Mother's Day at Savio's. The food was authentic Italian fare. The portion sizes were perfect. My daughters ordered individual pizzas and I had to just try a slice. It was delicious. The crust was tasty! The pasta dishes were wonderful. Our server was friendly and informative. She offered Shirley Temple drinks to the girls. The atmosphere was pleasant.... More

Took the family out for a nice dinner and was so happy I picked this restaurant. My Patron margarita was excellent and so was our food! I made my reservation online and requested a table by the fireplace and it was all ready when we arrived! Our server, Paula was wonderful and made our visit very enjoyable. The service was... More

I have driven by Savio's numerous times even though I had heard that they had great food. After receiving a $10 off coupon from restaurants.com, I decided to check it out and I was not disappointed! As a matter of fact, i wish I had gone by and tried it much sooner. Despite being at the end of a 'strip... More

We dined at Savio's during a recent visit to Alexandria. It had been some while since we'd had a memorable Italian meal; so the 10% discount card offered by our hotel made this Northern and Southern Italian place a must-try. The food was the best part of the experience. Since the menu is a la carte and the prices are... More

This is by far the worst restaurant I have ever had dinner in. Both my wife and I had a chichen parmesan dinner that couldn't have been anything but out of the freezer. I will say the kids pizza was edible but not by much. I have never taken the time to post a restaurant review until now, but this... More

This is a quiet, local restaurant with excellent regional Italian food. If we lived in the area this would be one of our regular stops.

My wife and I ate linner here on July 20, 2013. This restaurant has been in existence since 1989, we moved to Alexandria in 1996, but today was our first visit. Shame on us. It won't be our last visit. The cuisine is Italian, our server was Russian, the owner and chef are Tunisian, and the piped-in music was Mexican... More
