Charming room with plenty of room between the tables. Service was elegant and efficient, and the food was delicious!

We discovered Tempo years ago and had a hard time finding the first time we went. It is an old home that has been made into a fine dining restaurant. We have been often because you can count on a good meal with good service. It can get a little noisy sometimes if there are large parties but most of... More

Tempo was recommended to us by friends who reside in Alexandria and dine there at least once a month. Having now been there twice for dinner, I can see why it's part of their regular dining out rotation. The menu has something for everyone--thus far, I've enjoyed scallops and veal, and I could see us stopping by for just dessert... More

Tempo specializes in seafood – creatively and very well prepared. Lovely décor. At lunch the entrees include a first course -- either soup (delicious) or salad (simple greens with an excellent dressing). But lunch menus are entrees – no sandwiches, etc

My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant for dinner after reading several great reviews on both TripAdvisor and OpenTable. Boy were we disappointed. First, the server was not nice to us at all. We both felt like the she, for some reason, took an immediate dislike to us and we could not figure out why. The server was brusque... More

This place was ok, not particularly memorable, though. We went for dinner on a Wednesday, but it was early, so I guess things hadn't picked up yet. The decor is quite dated, but clean, and the food was decent.

Tempo has never disappointed. The food is always terrific and well-presented. There is a varied menu to choose from, so no one should ever lack for a wonderful choice. Good wine list. Ambiance is very nice, considering this use to be a gas station!

We visit Tempo several times a year when we are craving a nice meal in a classy restaurant that is totally unpretentious. The food is mostly Mediterranean cuisine leaning towards Spanish and Italian. The seafood is always well prepared and fresh. I had the Osso Bucco which was slightly salty otherwise perfectly cooked. The restaurant has large glass windows facing... More

For an intimate sized restaurant, it is always packed! Not only packed with people but packed full of flavor. Now, I can not comment too much on the food as I get the same thing always - the Pasta w/puttanesca sauce and my sister - the Eggplant Parmesan. The wait staff knows our order :) But when we bring others... More
