Southside 815 is a fantastic place for "Southern" food. The dishes are wonderful and prepared just like down South. The "specials" are turly special. The service leaves a bit to be desired, but overall Southside 815 is a great place to eat! Especially if you desire some Southern food.

This is a bar/restaurant in Alexandria VA which is frequented by locals. The atmosphere is friendly and the bartender was great! There are great food specials as well. I enjoyed everything I ordered and sampled, however if you order the 815 biscuits it can be a bit salty.

Southside is always good for an enjoyable time - it is a local favorite, not an Oldtown tourist oriented place. Two parts, the sports bar (lots of TVs, the actual bar, etc) and the dining room/patio. The dining room/patio is family friendly, service is usually fine. Menu has lots of fried finger food, sandwiches, pastas and is varied with nightly... More

This place has a very decent menu of southern comfort food, a bar with televisions for the sports- needy, and a quaint outdoor patio with a nice view of the street, which is well groomed. I really had no complaints and would definitely eat here again to determine what on the menu is on target and what is not.

We (six couples and two young children) ate here early on a Saturday evening. We had heard good things about Southside, but we were all a bit disappointed with the visit. We found it very loud, even for a sports bar-type establishment. The service was spotty, with various of us having to ask about where our drinks and food were.... More

Our family enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Southside 815. We were able to find tasty down home favorites entrees. The kids also enjoyed the sandwiches. I will go back again. It's a very family friendly place with a local vibe bar that's separate from the restaurant area. They also have outdoor seating where you can lounge and watch the poor... More

I got the grilled chicken with black beans and rice, and a Caesar salad. Both were excellent! My friend got the tuna steak, rare, and it was awesome too. I'll definitely be back!

We arrived at 630 on a Saturday night and were astonished to witness the hostess refuse to offer a table instead of booth to a party of 5 who had an elderly guest with a walker. Their excuse was that the table was being held for a reservation. Really? My Po Boy was mostly bread and the beer my husband... More

Once again, relied on TA and found a good one! The Low Country Shrimp and Sausage (shrimp and grits) was awesome! Seafood salad was also very good. Service was good - no nonsense - to the point. Knew what we wanted. Would come back for sure.

was in old town dc area for a long weekend, went to southside because of the reviews on trip advisor, had planned on just eating Friday dinner there but end up eating both nights there and went back for desert and drinks after some sightseeing and shopping on king street. my only suggestion is they switch from the old tired...
