Our family enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Southside 815. We were able to find tasty down home favorites entrees. The kids also enjoyed the sandwiches. I will go back again. It's a very family friendly place with a local vibe bar that's separate from the restaurant area. They also have outdoor seating where you can lounge and watch the poor... More

I got the grilled chicken with black beans and rice, and a Caesar salad. Both were excellent! My friend got the tuna steak, rare, and it was awesome too. I'll definitely be back!

We arrived at 630 on a Saturday night and were astonished to witness the hostess refuse to offer a table instead of booth to a party of 5 who had an elderly guest with a walker. Their excuse was that the table was being held for a reservation. Really? My Po Boy was mostly bread and the beer my husband... More

Once again, relied on TA and found a good one! The Low Country Shrimp and Sausage (shrimp and grits) was awesome! Seafood salad was also very good. Service was good - no nonsense - to the point. Knew what we wanted. Would come back for sure.

was in old town dc area for a long weekend, went to southside because of the reviews on trip advisor, had planned on just eating Friday dinner there but end up eating both nights there and went back for desert and drinks after some sightseeing and shopping on king street. my only suggestion is they switch from the old tired... While visiting Washington DC we wanted to eat somewhere off the beaten path and decided to try Southside 815. We were staying in Arlington and found Alexandria to be fairly easily accessible. (driving during rush hour was a bit congested, but that is to be expected) The restaurant was quaint and charming and situated on the main drag....exactly what we'd... More

We dropped into this longtime favorite restaurant on our way to Reagan National airport. How great to see it hasn't changed since I moved from Alexandria 6 years ago! I used to eat dinner here regularly, but this time we had lunch. On Mondays the po' boys are on 1/2-price special. What a deal! I had the catfish po' boy... More

We were served some great southern food here! The sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes were spot on! The turnip greens were alittle undercooked in my opinion, but we southerns tend to over cook all vegetables! The pecan chicken was delicious!

I've had a business in Alexandria for decades and don't know how I missed this fine establishment. Good food & service at a reasonable price. Kudos...!

We live in Alexandria, and frequently go here for Happy Hour. The bar staff are very friendly, remember your name, and are always prompt. Go early as after 5:30 p.m. it's standing room only. They have great appetizers. On Wednesdays they have seafood on the appetizer list for Happy Hour. Our out of town guests love this place. It's quaint,... More
