The food is just OK. However, the service was really good, which earned Hoops a second visit. The prices are average for the area. Good beer selection and quality.

We had the fish & chips and soup/salad combo. My husband said the fish & chips was really good. The baked potato soup was okay. It came out hot and looked appealing, but it was just okay. The side salad was very good and there were lots of veggies, not only lettuce. The real star of the meal for me... More

Maybe I happened to be there when they were having staff training day or something, but the server did her best to rank on my list of worst service ever and then when the food finally came out {I had a burger and can only guess they had to go out and grow the tomatoes or lettuce} the fries were... Had the chance to experience a business lunch here. I was unfamiliar with the area so my business associate recommended this place and drove us there. We were promptly seated and the waitress soon arrived at our table for our drink order. With a name like Hops you would assume they offer a variety of beers. This is the case.... More

My wife and I like Hops. We have been there about 6 times, and have never been disappointed. My wife loves the Fish and Chips; for me it’s the Grilled Chopped Steak. I have double mashed potatoes instead of a vegetable. The meal starts off with little puffs covered with a sugar sauce. The staff works very hard and with... More

If you like microbrews and good food, this is the place for you. The staff is friendly and this is a great location. Start with the butter croissants, a thoroughbred red beer, a walkers wood shrimp appetizer. Then on to a cup of the baked potato soup, the Jamaican brewmaster steak or the chicken linguine or even a Reuben sandwich.... More

Stopped in for dinner and ordered the soup & salad, Caesar tasted like the romaine was not washed and very uneventful. The french onion soup was onion, broth with a slab of bread and cheese on top, not like the description on the menu at all. I think if you are going here for the brews you will be good.

Stopped in late, 10:30pm for dinner. The host was an unfriendly guy that barely spoke to us....thanks goodness he seemed to be the only bad apple. Our waiter was very friendly and personable. This late at night they don't have a lot of people working so the service was a little slow! The food, beer, and servers were good though!

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious and staff friendly. The best part was their version of bread/rolls for the table was fresh flakey croissants with drizzled honey!! Melt in you mouth!! I had soup and salad. Caesar salad was nice and the clam chooser soup was wonderful. There were nice big clams in the creamy soup. Even thought... More

Stopped here to avoid traffic coming back from Reagan National Airport. The food was very good and priced reasonably. I had the Fish and Chips and the fish was quite good. The croissant biscuits were excellent. This is a good place to enjoy food and in house brewed beer. I would definitely stop here again. Service was great!
