Great Pasta and Appetizers

The food was excellent. Tables in main dining area were fairly close to other diners; but we ate at a corner table next to the window in the bar area - and this was nice. Fairly quiet and i thought a better vantage point for people watching and privacy than in the dining area. The appetizers... read more

We ate lunch at this lovely restaurant this last Sat. I must say it was one of the best lunches (meals) I have ever had in any Italian restaurant! The minute the waiter mentioned the special's we both jumped at the same one!(which normally I do not like since what if we both do not like it????) ha ha Freshly... More

We were regulars when we lived in Old Town and returned on a recent visit. Great location, beautiful rooms, but service felt very rushed. They're definitely looking to turn the tables quickly. When we we received the check, we were stunned to see the martini and Cosmo we ordered cost $15- and $18. Almost ruined the night. Worth a visit... More

My wife and I ate here while seeing the sites in historic Alexandria. We didn't know the area so we relied on the trusty 'ol TripAdvisor app to point us towards a good place to eat for dinner that night. Landini Brothers seemed to fit the bill in every aspect - good ratings, medium-priced, not too far away and had... More

I used to be a regular when I lived in Old Town, now it's a must when I visit. Great meal, as always!

we go here often and really like it. the core menu never changes, but they always have lots of specials that make you want to close the menu anyways after a few visits: at least 1 app (either seafood or seasonal, like white asparagus), 2 seafood entrees, 1 pasta, 1 vegetarian (often risotto), and the amazing veal chop til it... Ambiance and service are quite good - Food is very average and exceptionally overpriced for the quality. My mushroom, truffle risotto appetizer (15USD) had 3 small visible bits of mushroom. Grilled squid, while good - was nothing creative. Tortellini and pasta with sausage was ok but at 18USD a plate you expect at least some effort from the chef. When... More

Since I love Italian food (and am Italian), I have very high standards for Italian restaurants. Landini's is worth the visit. The ambiance is Old World with stone walls, table cloths, pleasant lighting, and right in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. They offer a wide range of pastas and entrees. Don't be put off by the difficulty parking near... More

Consistently great pasta from Landini Brothers. High quality, cooked properly, with excellent Alfredo and marinara sauces. We've brought kids here as well as coming by ourselves. It's a white-table cloth restaurant, and seats are close - so if your kids ... can be lively, you are likely to be uncomfortable and may want to go somewhere else. Don't really want... More

I reviewed this restaurant years ago and gave it an Excellent. This time it gets a demerit for one very big flaw... pasta is not served with most of their veal and other meat dishes. Several at our table were disappointed by this...instead, receiving a few measly scalloped potato slices and about five green beans. While the meat portions were... More
