I've eaten at the Fish Market when visiting the DC since the mid-1980s and the Fish Market is a must. My favorite is the combination nautical pasta. The mix of scallops, white fish and shrimp in a cream sauce is wonderful. With a sprinkle...or two...of parmesan cheese, it's one of my favorite seafood meals anywhere. If you love hush puppies,... I had the Calamari. Some of the best I have ever had. I had the filet with the crab meat on top (their version of surf and turf). 100% crab meat. No filler. Steak was exactly like I ordered and extremely flavorful. As for beer, they had Lost Rhino. I used to live 5 minutes away from their brewery, which... More

When the wife and I are in Alexandria and have a hankering for seafood, we always find ourselves having to choose among Old Town Triumvirate of The Wharf, The Warehouse and the Fish Market. We used to be regulars at the Wharf, but their food quality went down a bit while their prices went in the opposite direction. We have... More

Great atmosphere and good food has kept this restaurant on its own for many years. Popular with locals and visitors alike, it can get crowded and noisy but always worth a visit.

Was excited to return to the Fish Market after not being in Old Town for years. The food was ok, the waiter was lousy. He had no personality and never checked on us. Not sure if we will be going back. It was $92 for a crab cake sandwich, fish & chips and 4 kid meals.

The clam chowder here is outstanding. Unlike most clam chowders you will get clam in every bite. There mozzarella stick are also excellent and not typical restaurant fare.

Like the title says, this place is clearly a tourist trap but we found the food to be good and service quite friendly. Not the 'finest' seafood meal I have ever enjoyed, but quite good for the price and certainly a place you can take large families, younger kids etc. If you are looking for a good quality, reasonably priced... I walked pass this place several times and so wanted to try it. So to celebrate a special friend birthday, we went here for dinner and it was amazing!

This place never disappoints. The food is always fantastic. This is the place to go for raw clams, crab cakes, clam chowder, and hush puppies. If you like seafood, you can't find any place that is better. We have never had a bad meal here. The only problem is that acoustically, it is loud. This can't be helped, though. The... More

This place along with most of the restaurants in the neighborhood were busy on a Saturday night. The lobster rolls are great and they even did ribs proud. The only complaint is there was a very big group in the room we were in and they were very loud to the point we couldn't wait to leave to give our... More
