Like the title says, this place is clearly a tourist trap but we found the food to be good and service quite friendly. Not the 'finest' seafood meal I have ever enjoyed, but quite good for the price and certainly a place you can take large families, younger kids etc. If you are looking for a good quality, reasonably priced... I walked pass this place several times and so wanted to try it. So to celebrate a special friend birthday, we went here for dinner and it was amazing!

This place never disappoints. The food is always fantastic. This is the place to go for raw clams, crab cakes, clam chowder, and hush puppies. If you like seafood, you can't find any place that is better. We have never had a bad meal here. The only problem is that acoustically, it is loud. This can't be helped, though. The... More

This place along with most of the restaurants in the neighborhood were busy on a Saturday night. The lobster rolls are great and they even did ribs proud. The only complaint is there was a very big group in the room we were in and they were very loud to the point we couldn't wait to leave to give our... More

Service was great but the food was even better. Had a great selection of beer, local and otherwise, and the hush puppies were the best I have ever eaten. This is a favorite spot for locals so we just had to try it. We were not disappointed at all.

Came on a Thursday night Late July at dinner time and were seated in less than 30 seconds. Restaurant has 400 seats on two levels. Waiter came to table right away, got us beverages and we ordered and food was brought to us in less than 15 minutes. WE both ordered fish and chips since we don't eat shellfish and it... More

Food was fresh and reasonably well prepared. Atmosphere was dark, not particularly inviting and wait staff just okay. I could have done better elsewhere I suspect. Decent place but with so many options why go to an "average" place.

I have been going to The Fish Market since I was a tiny child. The menu never changes...nor, really, does it. I love the brick walls and the hushpuppies. The spiced shrimp are my standard bearer for anywhere else. My father loves the fish chowder on a cold day. Is it fabulous? No. Is it comfortable, warm and inviting? Yes.... More

Nice selection of seafood, some dishes were more flavorful than others. The seafood jambalaya was great, while many of the shrimp dishes looked and tasted a bit plain. Great spot in the heart of Old Town, so walking around a bit after dinner makes for a pleasant evening. The restaurant transitions to a loud and crowded bar late at night... More

A mixture of oysters from around the US can be had. I prefer those from the Bay however they serve several others from the upper north west. The spiced shrimp are also like no other. If Sean is working, ask for his advice; he will not steer you wrong!
