We went after a day of sightseeing. We were able to get a table right away. Wonderful sangria. The mussels were good as an appetizer. We had fried shrimp, avocado stuffed with crab meat, club sandwich and a large side of hush puppies. The hush puppies were wonderful. Our server, Chris was another story. He seemed to be very bored... More

Tasty grilled selection right off the water in Old Town Alexandria. While the price is a little on the high side the freshness and quality of the food is very noticeable.

We stopped in for a meal after reading the reviews here. Out service was OK, menu had a good selection. We opted for the crab cake sandwich, fish-n-chips, and an order of hush puppies (based on reading the reviews here). All were pretty good, I wouldn't say exceptional or great. Prices were a little high for the food, service was... More

My husband and I were looking a good place to go for crab, and we selected the Fish Market based on the name. I looked up some up some reviews which sounded good, so we decided to take a chance. In addition to a large selection on their regular menu, they also have a good selection of sushi and sashimi.... More

We had visited The Fish Market in our various trips to DC and Alexandria, and the last lunch we had there was really disappointing. Service was nice and efficient, but the food was generic at best, and quite expensive for the quality and the experience. It was basic and while quantities were generous, the quality was very average (we had... More

When in washington with enough time, I normally make a trip to the fish market for lunch or dinner...and normally opt for the crab cakes. Great! They also have specials on certain nights of the week, for lobster for example, that help cut the cost. Crab cakes, steak fries, cole slaw, a schooner of beer or lemonade...perfect. Mid-priced i would... More

Wow! The lobster pasta was FANTASTIC! And, it had a LOT of lobster. I wasn't expecting much since most places don't give much when it comes to seafood, but wow, I was impressed! I stopped here for lunch with family during our vacation and we were all very happy. They have a good kids menu as well. Our waiter was... More

Good food but it was pretty pricey for our family! All of the entrees were $15-$30. Our son had a turkey club sandwich and it was $9 with out fries.....they were an extra $2.

I had a taste for seafood while traveling in the area so I gave Fish Market a try. The crab soup was very good but will probably be spicy for some (not for me). I got lucky as the special was soft crabs. These are hard to find outside of the mid-atlantic. Mine were nice sized, well cooked, and tasted... More

Our party of 4 all enjoyed our food. It was good seafood, not greasy or over cooked. We also had the mini crab cakes that were delicious!
