It was DC Restaurant week, so we made our choices from a special menu. Good selections, everything came out hot and tasty. We were walk-ins, so the only seating available was at the bar. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

The food at the Wharf is no better than a good cafeteria at a large company. It is outrageously priced for the quality and quantity served. But even worse than the food is the treatment received by the manager, Pedro. We had a problem with one of our meals in which it had to be sent back. Pedro first argued... More

Was heading to the Fish Market but stopped in here. A little more pricey but food was excellent. Had soft shell crabs. The manager served us personally since they were busy with Friday crowd. Would come back anytime

We were happy they took reservations and very nice decor. We ate upstairs. Very prompt service and nice staff. Food was good, but we felt as a family it was rather expensive for the amount that we got. We feel you should include a salad or soup with any meal that cost 32.99 or more.

This was my first time to Alexandria. I came to visit my father. We walked up and down the street aimlessly just checking out the (hundreds of) menus. We walked in to this place. I honestly have to say, the best crab cakes, filet, lobster, and Mahi Mahi we have had.... and other people must have thought the same because... More

Very good sauteed soft shell crabs, I especially recommend the fried oysters over succotash as an appetizer. Their red sangria was also delicious.

We were at Whart Restaurant at 1:50pm. The restaurant was not busy at all. We ord 2 appetizers for starters. By the time they came it was 2:30pm, we were very irritated with the service and at the same time we were starving. After we completed the appetizers, the main courses came in at 3:20pm!!! The service is far too... More

Being the Reunion Chairman for our F.C. Hammond H.S. class, I contacted our dear alum/friend: Ralph Davis regarding the possibility of holding our 47th "mini-reunion" lunch at his The Wharf. "Sure, Susan, I'll place you & our alums in our upstairs private dining room." I was successful in gathering around 14 of our N. VA resident alums for this small... More
