We shared a bowl of clam chowder. It had plenty of clams and potatoes but definitely lack some sort of seasonings. The fish and chips entree was really delicious. Three nicely battered fish with home made chips. The tartar sauce was a good accompaniment. Wait staffs were very friendly and helpful. They have a bar seating too. There is only... More

Love this restaurant...well managed, good food, great drinks, atmosphere fun...a place for locals and travelers alike. Check out the "Harry Klein" plaque at the bar and ask about the story.

My friends and I came here for my bday brunch in October. It was still warm so we sat outside. It was a beautiful day and the food was superb! I loved people watching while we ate. I had the crab benedict and my girl friends had the crab cakes. YUM. My boyfriend isn't a huge seafood fan but he... More

We came in on Saturday for a late dinner on the last night of or vacation. We had called last minute and had no problem being seated upon arrival. We started with oysters on the half shell and the hot appetizer for two. Both were scrumptious and perfect. The bread was soft and served with real butter. Entrees were the... More

We have been eating at the Wharf for some ten years and have never been disappointed. It is one of the best medium priced seafood restaurants around. The food uniformly fresh and tasty and the specials are worth trying. The service is good. If you are having dinner there ask to eat in the upstairs seating, it's quiet and has... More

The food here is always great (at least what I order YMMV). Can get crowded with lines outside so plan early, especially if you are going during the holidays or a Friday night.

First time in Alexandria. King Street has lots of food choices - the building, the menu & Trip Advisor helped us select the Wharf. We chose the lunch specials - lobster pasta and a lobster roll. Both were excellent. Excellent service. Loved the ambiance - if we lived here, we'd give it a shot at being regulars.

Went with a party of 6 for lunch; and everyone was very pleased. Oysters were fresh, but the standout was the crabcake -- very little binder, but still very tasty. The service was excellent. Not a cheap place, but worth it.

Last night was my second time dining at the Wharf. Since I have relocated the DC, King Street has always been a go-to for great dining experiences, and the Wharf is a perfect example. Generous lobster portion in the Lobster Linguine, and my guests also enjoyed their filet minion / crab cake combination. The waiters were all very attentive and... More
