We were walking down the street wanting seafood. The welcome, service, recommendations, meals were fantastic! The wine and beer and coffees were wonderful too. We definitely recommend eating here. I loved my blackened tuna with crab succotash special. Wish I knew our waiter's name to mention it because he did a great job for us.

We dashed into the Wharf restaurant during a thunderstorm to get out of the rain. We were immediately greeted and seated. I ordered Horseradish Pecan crusted salmon and my wife ordered shrimp. The food was excellent and the service was attentive not intrusive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

While touring Old Town Alexandria we stopped at the Wharf Restaurant for lunch. My friend ordered the catfish po'boy, while I had the fish and chips. Both were quite good. We sat outside and it wasn't too street noisy. It is very close to the center of town and just up the block from the waterfront.

Spent a few days at the Gaylord Resort and ventured across the river on the water taxi to Alexandria. Picked this spot based upon TA reviews, which were spot on. Ordered the grilled seafood platter-scallops, shrimp and a crab cake. Generous portion, deliciously prepared, and an excellent, meaty (not a lot of filler) crab cake. Sides of grilled veggies and... Had dinner at the Wharf on a Saturday evening. Made reservations via Open Table. We were seated on the 2nd floor next to the window which gave us a nice view of King Street at night. The food and service were both excellent. I had the Seafood bouillabaise and my husband ordered the fried assorted seafood platter. We started out... More

My wife and I took my sister and her husband here as a thank you for being such wonderful hosts during our stay in the area. Food was tasty but not eye popping. Menu was kind of limited for being a supposed seafood 'destination'. Spicy she crab soup was good, but definitely not spicy, though I do have a high... More

My first impression when we walked in was that I had travelled back in time. The restaurant was full of dark woods and deep reds. The ceilings were low with exposed beams and stone walls. It reminded me of somewhere my grandfather would take me. My overall impression is that the restaurant needs a facelift. Now for the food: I... More

Five for food and two maybe three for service. The food was very good! I can't complain a bit about that. Steak is amazing and the seafood special was unique (parchment paper) and delish! Service was a bit "off". When you approach a table and the guests are reviewing the wine list, your response isn't to run off and say... More

We stopped in while walking King Street. Although a little pricey, it was worth the cost. Michael, our waiter was outstanding as a host. Drinks were killer, as in good. Being from the gulf coast, we know good seafood, and this was a meal well done. I would visit again, as this is a fine establishment for dining.

It was DC Restaurant week, so we made our choices from a special menu. Good selections, everything came out hot and tasty. We were walk-ins, so the only seating available was at the bar. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.
