The More Casual (Version of the Warehouse) Restaurant

This is a wonderful restaurant that shares the great She Crab soup of its sister restaurant across King St, the Warehouse. It is more of a casual affair with a lively bar and excellent food and service. It is darker, more intimate and probably a better choice for where to snuggle with your better... read more

Had dinner at the restaurant last night it was fantastic food in an a lovely old building right in the middle of King Street. Casual but very neat and tidy, all the table staff were excellent. We had a shared hot appraiser plate for two and very nice and a good combination and well priced for the amount of food... More

Group of ten with as many different tastes for dining. South Carolina couples gave She Crab soup a thumbs up. All were very happy with their main courses. I had garlic shrimp--huge shrimp perfectly cooked with a nice rice pilaf. His nibs had the cioppinno which was awesome--among the best he has ever had and he tries it often when... More

Thank you for continuing to provide excellent food. The menu always has wonderful selections, seating is fantastic and wait staff are always attentive and friendly. We love the seafood selections; I always have raw oysters and a clam chowder. If you are two people, suggest getting an appetizer and sharing a salad. We always select our dinners with the idea... Very nice dinner here. All seafood dishes were well prepared and enjoyed by all. Service was very attentive but not overly intrusive. Several good specials. My only recommendation is ensuring that everyone in your party wants seafood, especially shellfish. If they do not, there are only a couple of options that don't have fish or shellfish in them. Overall, a... More

A recent visit checked all the boxes important to us. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive but did not hover, water and tea glasses were refilled with request. The Norfolk trio was to die for and perfect for my gluten-free needs. The noise level allows conversation. The entry is a little confusing if this is your first visit don't go up... More

Worth the visit and excellent service while dining in a cost room. The plantation cocktail is quite good, almost too good as it seemed to need extra refills. The lobster mashed potatoes...need I say more?

A reliable favorite in Old Town, Alexandria. Appetizers of baked oysters or fried oysters serveved over an amazing Chesapeake succotash just can't be beat. Some of the best fresh seafood available on King street and server, Mo, is first class. No need to try any other on it's to DC area.

Went here from dinner during the week with a coworker. The restaurant was busy but not packed. The service was good, but felt rushed. The food was good, but not a 'food memory.''

As the title says, the service was scary fast. The food was pricey, but very good and not different from comparable restaurants nearby. Our only complaint was that we were seated at a table for 6 (just two of us) while several two tops were available. There was also light shining down on the table that was way too bright.
