Description: Restaurant Eve has one intention: to bring everything together in perfect...
Restaurant Eve has one intention: to bring everything together in perfect harmony-ingredients, cooking techniques, presentation, and that ephemeral, indescribable characteristic that we call soulfulness. We purchase from farms that share our values of quality and sustainability, and showcase the best hand-fed, farm-raised, organically grown bounty Virginia and the surrounding countryside have to offer. Herbs and fruits are gathered from our own garden and everything on our menu has a story, every ingredient is special. From the various offerings of house-made products (which include 7-9 various breads baked daily and artisanal cheeses); to the roster of craft cocktails, by cocktail authority Todd Thrasher; to our carefully chosen ingredients, everything signals a seriousness and reverence for the farmers, crafters, and all the culinary professionals who wish to bring you beautiful food. Restaurant Eve, named after the husband and wife duo's first child, is located in Old Town, Alexandria, listed by many travel sites as one of the most romantic towns in America, 10 minutes from Washington DC, Restaurant Eve is housed in a late 1800's historic warehouse that has been converted into a charming and sophisticated destination. The cobblestone path leading to the restaurant's entrance is lined with candles that set the tone of what is to come. Inside, the space is simultaneously stylish, cozy and refined-a place where special occasions are fondly remembered.

Delicious food- a great Restaurant Week Find

We didn't have a reservation but got to sit in one of the tables at the bar-- and we didn't even realize that it was restaurant week until we sat down! The 3 course for $35 offering was excellent value, and we each got to sample a nice array of the fare. The Filipino Street food was delicious... read more

This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but once you go inside it just opens up into a huge place. Food was excellent, service was top scale and we will definitely be going back soon. Had a wonderful experience. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This is a very good, not quite great restaurant. They would like to believe they are great but several steps away. We ate here for restaurant week, had a very nice $35 meal and excellent wine. Actually hope to be back soon just that it is not every night that you sit at the bar for a $200 dinner for... More

If you enjoy fine dining this is the place to be in the DC metro area. The food is always prepared to the highest standard. It is apparent that the chef strives to make act dinner a memorable experience. The staff is refined and friendly and the atmosphere is elegant and comfortable. Go if you can!

This quaint, elegant, cozy restaurant, comprised of several rooms in an old townhome immediately makes you feel like you're visiting a B&B, or a rich uncle's home. Gracious greetings are followed by tastings offered by the chef. And there were 3 dishes so perfectly created and presented that we all shared our plates, for a gastronomique feast! Go, knowing you'll... More

Great food, but a little pricey. So sit in the bar area and order there. The food is just as good and you get the benefit of watching the mixologists create their drinks. If they have the clear Bloody Marys try them, they are amazing!

restaurant eve is everything you would expect from a first tier foodie restaurant. The service was great, but let's get real, you want to know about the food :). My wife and I each went all out for the 9 course tasting menu. The foie gras was the best I've ever had. This was our second time to RE for... More

I happily give Restaurant Eve my disposable income albeit infrequently at their Tasting Room! It is something to experience! I puzzle at the menu admitting there is nothing that sounds good, if edible to my not-so-sophisticated standards (Chili Mac and Nachos aside). But there is something to be said for adventures in foodland that I allow the servers to chose... More

We have visited Eve on several occasions, although it has been a couple of years since our last visit. We took our daughter and husband on a recent warm summer evening and enjoyed an excellent dinner. Well located of King street, just a few blocks from the Potomac, the restaurant is accessed through a back door, after entering a narrow... More

After anxiously awaiting our evening out and a visit to Restaurant Eve we were pleased with the service and quality of food; however the size of the food portions were very small. Our beverages were obviously left on the bar too long and with the ice melting were very watered down. They had to be returned on two occasions. Our... More
