I surprised my husband by making a reservation to Restaurant Eve for his birthday where we enjoyed the tasting menu and the sommelier wine pairing course. They were both outstanding. The service was impecable and we felt well taken care of. We enjoyed all of the courses and found the food to be creative and tasty. The sommelier was very... More

Food was all delicious and presented very nicely. Attentive service from a very large professional wait staff, without being intrusive. Filipino Street BBQ (pork belly) was delicious and squash ravioli uniquely flavored. Only problem was the main courses choices were limited for us because 1/2 the choices were fin fish which my husband is allergic too, but they had no... More

I thought it was fantastic! We had NYE reservations, and it was amazing! We had the tasting menu - each choosing a different option so we could try everything. I loved the Hamachi ceviche!! Honestly, I could have done without knowing what Shoat is - and I could have done without eating it. That was the only thing I didn't... More

The food and ambiance were fantastic, the price was worth the quality of food, there were actually too many servers and staff for our table, entrees were placed in front of wrong people. Didn't bring out correct first courses, seem a little unorganized. A great wine list, and some interested twist on cocktails.

I love the location and the ambience of this restaurant but everything else doesn't work. There are too many servers in the front of the house and yet at times you can't catch a waiter's attention. We did the tasting menu, and the amuse bouche were the highlights of the meal. All the diners found the sweetbreads mushy and flavorless... More

After years of not returning due to mediocre food at best for the price, we tried this establishment again with friends. Now, I know what I already knew as the reason for not returning. How this property continues to stay in the best restaurants in the greater D.C. area area is beyond me. The food critics must be getting a... More

As a resident of Alexandria, this is by far my first choice as a place to take friends and family. It IS expensive, but the service and the food preparation are worth it. We have celebrated Christmas in their Tasting Room for the past 8 years. Deserves all the high praise it receives from various professional reviewers.

We had a Valentine Day's dinner in their tasting room. Nothing like it, including the Inn at Little Washington. The service was impeccable, almost over-staffed. Every attention to detail was noticed. There are multiple courses with small delicacies palpably placating the palate. But don't expect to get out for less than $200 per person if you go that route. It... More

You can't go wrong with the cooking or the service here, especially if creative and unique food is to your taste. While you certainly pay for the experience, multiple visits for special occasions and business are proof that Eve does not disappoint.
