Busy, basic Irish pub and food. No specials. Good selection of beers and whiskeys. Liked the pork sandwich.

Had a nice time here listening to some authentic Irish music while on vacation. Didn't eat a meal here though. People were having a good time. Friendly atmosphere. If you're looking for a traditional pub experience, this is one to check out.

Food was ok but the prices were reasonable. And the atmosphere was great. Very Irish! Enjoyed it despite a tough pork chop (which we didn't bother to mention to our waitress. So, in fairness we didn't give them a chance to fix it when we didn't tell that it was broken. Ya know?) I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Lunch with a friend on a recent Sat afternoon. Place was lively, but not intrusive. Great Guinness and some super pub food. Always a fun time

The young lady at the door looked surprised when the 6 of us (multi-generational family) said yes and walked in. They sat us in the center of the pub and while there was zero privacy in an environment like that, we enjoyed the fact that we were all together. The bar appeared full of after hours locals, with us tourists... More

We randomly wondered into Murphys during a one night visit to Alexandria and we are so glad we did! Food was excellent, I had the Meat and Potatoe pie, boyfriend had the fish special. The women's World Cup final was on and the place was lively and packed, but service was still very good. Hope to visit again.

A nice pub to stop by for a pint. Friendly service. The Goose Island was worth a try. Also food although we did not partake. Worth a visit.
