We had a nice lunch on a cold DC day. We sat by the fireplace. I really enjoyed my lunch special of blackened cat fish with rice and veggies it was $9.95. I wouldn't recommend the beef dip. The meat was really thick and chewy, you couldn't bite into the sandwich. My husband had the sheppards pie...quite ample and it... More

So full disclosure, I am obligated to give this bar 5 stars since it's a Patriots bar and I'm a huge fan:) However, all jokes aside this is a really great bar! My wife and I stopped in with a friend before a wedding we were attending and we were the only ones in the whole place. We then stopped... More

Murph's is a place where you can relax, eat, drink and enjoy a noisy, sports-filled atmosphere, with decent(good) food and drinks at a fair price, no disappoint to be expected, i only rated it as average because the food is okay, but not amazing, with the exception of wonderful service, it was a bit loud, and while it is good... We were here for food and it did not disappoint. I had Breast of chicken sandwich. It was very tasty and filling though the bottom part of the roll was soggy. However, just ate it without that part of the roll. Spouse raved about his meal. We sat at the far end of the bar near the entrance and it... More

Great Irish Pub went here for a playoff football game. If you are going here to watch a game you have to be a New England Patriots fan because its a Patriots bar. The hype and excitement of everyone in the bar was like being at a game. It was alot of fun. The place was packed but the service... More

Had lunch here the other day and I was not disappointed. This place has a warm, authentic pub feel. There are bars and tables on the first and second floors. The menu is quite extensive for a pub. Service is great. People are friendly. This is obviously a local hangout and it is easy to see why. It is the... More

My wife and I went here on the first weekend in December. They have good food here and the staff is very friendly and attentive. It is loud which is expected but everyone is having a great time here. If we lived in the area, I could see coming here on a daily basis. If you are in the area,... More

The Murhpy's Grand Irish Pub is right on King Street in Alexandria, right in the middle of it all. It's a nice walk from either end of King Street where you will pass many quaint stores and shops. We were there on a Saturday night and it was packed. We arrived around 6:30 pm though and were but we were... More

If you are in the mood for a pub, Murphy's is your place. Good upstairs & downstairs long bars, full pub menu, live music, great service, reasonable prices. If you plan on visiting on St. Patrick's Day, go very early.
