Being from the midwest, my co-workers and I were looking a good bar to drink and eat. We found it here. Nice pub atmosphere with good food. Will come back if ever I'm in town again.

The food was great, the drinks were great. The atmosphere was perfect. Wait staff did a great job for being busy. Harp on tap...yum.

We were there right before St. Patrick's Day so there was a LOT of enthusiastic atmosphere! We had Eggs Benedict (one regular, one with crab cakes made with local crab I think) and Mimosas - it was a cool rainy Sunday and we sat in the front window area on the second floor and could people watch to our hearts'... Although we didn't eat, we did stop in for a beer or three. Had a blast. This place is just fun! Ran into people from my wife's hometown in Iowa. Small world... The food I seen serve red around us looked tasty, however we did not partake. For a touch of the Irish environment, this is a must see just... More

Probably won't return. The atmosphere was good, the server was great, but mixed feelings about the food. My son ordered and enjoyed a crab cake sandwich, I ordered a Ruben sandwich expecting a sandwich with nice crisp grilled rye bead and the traditional filler. Instead it was an open face broiled sandwich with soggy bread. Didn't taste bad, but not... More

Me and a co worker met his Uncle here for dinner on Thursday which is steak night. It was crowded and they had a 2 man band that was good. Can choose several kinds of steak with sauce and sides. Food and beer was good.

Visited late lunchtime during the Commonwealth Games. The place was packed, so we were lucky to find a seat. We were happy to wait for our food, as we sat outside in the courtyard and enjoyed the street performance going on in the square. The food came eventually, and my husband said it was the best burger he'd ever had,... More

I visited both O'Connell's and Murphy's in Old Town this weekend. I ordered the exact same thing....shepherd's pie and a pint of Guinness (pretty standard). Guinness was delicious at both, atmosphere wonderful at both (old fashioned Irish pub), service was good at both. Style of shepherd's pie can vary, and it did. Murphy's was more my style with smashed potatoes,... More

Great service in this place- our waitress was more attentive than I would expect and this place was crowded. She was genuine and friendly. Live music was very Irish- a nice treat. The place was packed and there was a nice noisy chatter in the place (In a good way, if you get what I mean). Fish & chips were... More
