Fun pub

Reasonably priced and definitely an Irish pub ambience. Good choice of tap beers. The smoked salmon appetizer was excellent; the potato skins were so-so. We didn't order dinner but I watched some plates going out. Nice presentation, big portions.

By far, hands down, the best fish and chips I've ever had the pleasure of eating. And the live entertainment was outstanding! Thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of the entire place. I can't wait to go back with my family!

A great Boston bar that plays Pats, Celts and Sox for all the Boston transplants. Located in Old Town and well known for its support to police departments, patches surround the bar. I frequented when a Northeastern Coop Student on assignment in DC and a lot of government LE personnel went there. Well, it hasn't changed at all. NU and... More

We stopped into the pub quite by accident, while exploring Alexandria. The restaurant is inside a neat building, that looks to be very old, and it felt a bit like being taken into a hidden Irish watering hole! When the hostess met us at the door, we were looking at the menu, posted outside. She told us about some of... More

Stopped in for beer and Irish beer drinking music. Great table placement. Set up like right out of Ireland where you could be in your own world or part of the people near you. Great service, friendly but not pushy servers that appeared to genuinely love their job. We intended to order a number of appetizers but asked about their... More

So many places with Guinness, so few in the US serve it well. They do here. Great angus burger, pulled pork & beer battered fish & chips. But oh the Guinness!

Were seated quickly, in the upstairs area. It had a great Irish pub feel. The food was wonderful. I had the fish and chips and, while they were slightly overcooked, they were really tasty!! The kids burger was a great portion and the Spinach and Artichoke Dip was yummy, too

We stopped at this nice Irish Pub to meet relatives that live in the area and have a nice long lunch and visit. Food is good and plentiful. Large selection of draft beers and beverages. Food was authentic to what we had while visiting Ireland. Located on King Street and perfectly located to visiting old town Alexandria and riding the... More

It was a mess on a plate. Was nothing near the real stuff. I ordered bangers and mash it had froozen peas, canned gravy and the... More

We stopped into Murphy's twice during out stay in Alexandria and loved it both times. The first time was a Wednesday evening and we had dinner, it was fairly quiet. My husband had the corned beef and cabbage and I had the Irish Meat & Potato Pie. Both meals were outstanding! We shared the Apple Crisp for dessert and that... More
