Fun and tasty Southern cuisine

We sat up on the second floor. The atmosphere is fun and festive. I chose the "surf and turf" which was ribs and fried catfish. It was a good and tasty combo. The prices were reasonable. The server, Paul, was attentive and friendly. The bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and bourbon sauce was... read more

We loved this place. The atmosphere was very relaxed. They had great recommendations for cocktails and food. Definitely will be back

The papier-mâché caricatures on the walls are this restaurant's most memorable feature. We ate an early dinner well before the dinner rush began and still received poor service. This is the original King Street Blues restaurant, which spawned at least two other locations in this mini-chain restaurant. This location felt dingy and dirty in some areas, like the restrooms and... More

We ate here about a decade ago and really didn't enjoy it -- the food, the service or the sound level inside. We didn't bother going again for years, but recently decided to try it again since they had some outdoor tables. Both the food and the service was very good. I don't know if the loudness inside has changed,... More

A nice visit to Old Town Alexandria followed by great food at King Street Blues. Three of us had the Jambalaya and my son had the Country Chicken (Don't know why). Highly recommend! The wait staff was awesome, too.

Went here with a couple others for dinner. Food was great and prices were right. Mike the bartender/server/ whatever else he does is awesome! We even came back another night for drinks and had a great time. Some in our group came here a few nights!

Dropped in just after the midday lunch rush on a Saturday. The restaurant was busy, but not crowded. Ate upstairs...good atmosphere with all the paper mache figurines and such. Server was friendly enough, and not overly attentive. The only big downside was the ladies restrooms. The stalls were a "tight fit", to say the least. Maybe make it a "one-seater"?... More

Went with high expectations. Patrons were a nice crowd. Rum and coke at the bar barely had any rum. Bar tender seemed to be running the whole place and directing the staff. Over in a corner a three piece Bluegrass band was warming up, starting tunes but not finishing them. Very strange, but crowd seemed impressed. We decided to stay... More

Nice variety of BBQ flavors and even offerings for folks who aren't fans of BBQ. Wait staff was great; service was quick. Although I'd recommend fish places for anyone in this area, this place is great, too.
