What a wonderful eclectic place! Somebody real went to town with the crazy decorations. The food was very good and they provided large portions! This place was obviously very popular because there was a steady stream of customers while we were there. Despite the crowds, the service did not suffer. I would recommend you stop and have the BBQ if... More

If you are of color don't go here. It's just a bunch of white privileged mf's. They have a junk box so I put on the hills from the weekend. The white privileged guys (2 of them) started attacking me. Asking me a white guy what color my wife was. I replied does it matter!!!!! One of the guys was... More

First, not friendly or welcoming. Second, menu is just processed/heat food. Third, dimly lit. Food not delicious. Prices okay. Decor is cool though. We will not return in the future.

If you just want to go somewhere for average/decent food at a reasonable price, this is the place! I had the catfish and ribs, which were good. The décor was interesting and unique. The waiter wasn't attentive. Not much to say... But if I was walking by and needing dinner in the future, I'd probably stop again.

This place is not my thing, but try it and judge for yourself. I don't like walking in to the bar, which smells to me. And usually a colorful local group at the bar, who appear to have been there for hours. Upstairs are the seats. Typical BBQ type seating, but they do have cool décor of paper Mache, caricatures,... The Southern style rib platter is so good. The meat on the ribs fall right off the bones. The cornbread, baked beans and cole slaw are good too. I love their paper mache sculptures that are made by a local artist. We always eat at King Street Blues when we visit Alexandria and always get the rib platter. The wait... More

I don't even know why we ate here. We came in on a Sunday night, and it was not packed at all. By the way the service was going you would've thought otherwise. We were seated on the second floor and were amused by the various mardi gras themed decorations. The waitress was incredibly rude, never checked on our table,... More

I went with two adults and a child on a friday night. The availability of a kids menu was very helpful. Our waiter was very attentive and helped us to pick out some items on the menu. The food however, left much to be desired. I had the country fried chicken but the dish was flat to me. There could... More

This old town Alexandria favorite is a great place for kids (Mac and cheese on the kids menu), but has great barbecue and burgers. The place is not large, has been around for a while so is comfortably worn in. Bar on first floor always seems to have people there, dining is on second and third floor so no handicapped... More

This is a great place for down home comfort food. Kid friendly, fun atmosphere. Comfortable "neighborhood" bar, lots of "regulars". Very casual. Awesome burgers, ribs, great fries, don't miss the cornbread
